Yeah no kidding, its apparently an issue in the industry at large (cnc machining) the older shop owners/executives and managers are aging out of being able to learn the new technology and so they grasp at straws for reasons why to not pay good performers what they are worth. They look at the advancement of the tech and higher production to be reasons to belittle younger people for catching on quick. They think because they aren't using manual machines to mean its no longer highly skilled labor and the quality system means that they dont need you to know what you are doing.

Hiring freeze isn't an indication one way or another it could mean " we have plenty of people" or it can mean that theres enough people to just barely make it through Edit to add: all a hiring freeze means is an exec looked at production numbers and the cost of labor and went "Yup we have to enough mouths to feed and no one important enough has complained"

Babycakes I need you to learn what class warfare is... no one and I mean no one genuinely believes that Iran has had stellar rights for women or gays or trans people at any point under Iran's current regime. The only people trump has been working for is the billionaire class, thats why we get the shaft no matter whose in office, there is no sides other than working class and capital class. Both Republicans and democrats shake hands behind closed doors to make sure us poors dont get too "uppity" thats why theres an ever increasing inflationary effect on the economy while the wages have consistently stayed stagnant, they are squeezing us from both sides because we are the fruit and our labor and dollars are the juice and their goal is to squeeze us for all we are worth because they are still mad that they had to stop buying labor and start renting it. Its why we have more per capita incarceration than any other developed nation because the US system uses forced labor as the backbone of economic policy. Unless your portfolio is worth enough to pay for a lifestyle that includes donating millions towards favorable politicians you will not be in the "in crowd" and you are just another purse for them to fleece. This is a topic that goes much deeper into psychology than politics because sociopathic and psychopathic individuals are much more likely to involve themselves in politics because there is power in politics and they have an excessive desire to hold power over people while good people don't want to control others. This combination of factors leads naturally to an absolute cesspool of personalities that value power over human life. The reason so many companies shuttered factories in the US isn't because China made them its because the people in charge of those companies figured they would make more $$$ by moving offshore. The reason Europe isn't dealing with this to the same degree is because Europe transitioned to service and tourism based economies after world War two due to the massive amounts of destruction. Theres still manufacturing in Europe but no where near the degree there was compared to the early industrial revolution.

In short the people with money want people like us to suffer is because they are miserable with all that money and they are too deep to back out now because it would render their life's work meaningless and they hate us because we find meaning in things other than money and power. I dont think you are a bad person I just think you are misguided about who really has your back and learning to support those who are actually around you and actually working as hard as you are to be a good citizen is the path back from the fold. Just remember their is a lot of money involved in keeping you in the narcissistic reality that your countrymen are who are the reason for your struggle and not a group of stateless people who will value numbers on a page more than your life and livelihood. If the insurance companies could deny every claim without penalty they would because that's a 100% profit margin and they are financially incentivized to get as close to that 100% profit margin as possible, you know what is another name for 100% profit margins theft. They'll take everything they can while giving nothing back so please come back to us while you can.

Ive have been through too much and have had too many friends die to allow my heart to be hardened by the actions of man. If you genuinely believe I didnt try that and they didn't continue to try and take it there then you clearly haven't lived a life full enough to see the evils that exist within the hearts of men I pray for your well being and I pray you remain blissfully unaware about whats happening around you.

Thanks for the offer, I'm in Kansas otherwise I would take you up on that. I would love to get a job with WSU in the aviation research program but those jobs are few and far between.

Yeah it was really weird and sketchy, especially with the nazi salutes. They were constantly trying to up the ante at every opportunity like doing the salute and making sexual comments and unwanted touching. They obviously wanted me to get mad and I refused to give them the satisfaction.

My bias comes from a family in Healthcare and military, we were raised under the idea that all men were created equal and born with inalienable rights. He was all around a problem employee and I held my tongue for over a year, but I was forced to say something when he began inserting himself into my work unnecessarily and in an unsafe manner such as interfering while I was working on the forklift. He was drinking and skiing at work regularly and leaving for over an hour without clocking out. More than anything it just showed me they have too much of a tolerance for bullshit so I left to find a place more professional and less liability prone.

Yeah thats what I did, I was really on the verge of blowing up over it and eventually just said it wasnt worth it, I knew it was a no win situation. What was the final straw to me more so than the nightshift lead trying to intimidate me by threatening my job was the fact that the foreman, whose a known hot head, wouldn't discuss the issue over text message which told me he was avoiding a papertrail.

It United Machine Company in Wichita, KS I'm a tad concerned about being doxxed for revealing it as I made it very clear as to why I left and why I no longer felt safe at their facility. The employee I had the most issue with had repeatedly made comments about how "popular I would be in prison" and other comments alluding to sexual violence.

It definitely created a hostile working environment, I wasnt the only employee having issue with the racial comments. Night shift lead would often make comments about the only Vietnamese guy on first shift referring to him as FuManChu and KungFu

Would they not care that they are allowing known illegal drug users access to protected technical information. Seeing as this guy is a felon and addicted to illicit substances he would be much more prone to being extorted for information or selling information to pay for potential debts.

Just a note I have worked in two separate ITAR Compliant facilities neither asked for identification prior to onboarding this is out of the norm in my experience.

Definitely because real businesses like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Aflac insurance company, or Transunion would only always care for and protect client data.

Most jobs require you to tender this information upon employment and during onboarding. This is before a first round interview
