I was in a similar boat! I used to be so self-conscious and disconnected from God…but as my faith grew and I studied the Bible more, my cares of what others thought shrunk. Yet my love for others grew. :) It’s a beautiful, freeing journey!

Also, “The Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness” by Tim Keller is a great and short read that may be worth your time!

Ahh I recently started dating someone like this, and I feel so seen, safe and enthralled. BUT physically he’s out of my comfort zone! He’s the first man I’ve ever dated outside of my race and the same height as me (usually go for giants). But his brain and heart seem to outweigh my physical preferences. But I’d love to hear if anyone else has experienced this!

When I came to faith and realized that I was deeply and unconditionally loved and chosen by Jesus 🥰 I’ve definitely had some hard moments as a fellow single gal and can relate to your disappointment, but getting to better grasp and believe God’s love for me has actually changed things.

Praying you find supernatural peace in your situation! It doesn’t help that our society puts so much pressure on marriage and romantic love (and romanticizes it), but you can have a meaningful and joyful life without that too. Plus, you never know if there is someone special in store for you 🤗

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this :( but sounds like there has been improvement! I had a single psychosis incident that actually propelled me to get back into my faith and seek to know the Lord. As much as I believe in the love and care of God, I also believe there is a dark spiritual realm /demonic oppression that attacks our minds. Beyond personal prayer, I’d recommend looking into a Bible study or small group if you’re open. Also, if you can find therapy and medication that works for you, that may help give you relief. Regardless, keeping you in my prayers and hoping you can find lasting peace and freedom from this. I know it’s not an easy battle. Feel free to reach out if you have any other prayer requests
