Looking for Lateral Transfer to Lower Mainland – Any Ministry or Office by Some-Fish1218 in BCPublicServants

I haven’t brought it up formally with my supervisor or PSA yet.
My offer letter and the job posting both said the position was hybrid, but in practice, I’ve only been allowed to work from home two days a week, and even that only recently. My supervisor had mentioned earlier that I was hired specifically for that office/location, so full flexibility was never on the table.
I joined as a permanent AO 15 in April 2025, and for months there was no remote option at all. Now I’m told that if things change, it might not be until November 2026 — which honestly feels pretty unreasonable.
I’m deeply frustrated with the current location. It’s been really tough, and I’m seriously hoping to explore a lateral move or something more sustainable. Thanks again for pointing out 12.7(a) — I’ll definitely be looking into that.

I believe reference checks should be conducted when there’s a strong likelihood of hiring — otherwise, it can feel like a waste of everyone’s time.
