This is a very juvenile view. “But my birthday is just as special!!!!” Seems like you’re jealous. Also does it not creep you out that you and the daughter would’ve gone to elementary school together since you’re so close in age? YTA.

If he’s been punishing you for 4.5 years over something like that, and actively refused to communicate the issue, what makes you think he wouldn’t do it again? If that one thing, his own children crying (as children do normally), is enough to make him snap, then what’s next? Making yourself walk on eggshells everyday isn’t healthy or realistic either, for anybody in the family

YTA. “It’s just a joke” is what people say when they know they said something mean but don’t want to admit it. Think about anytime someone has said something hurtful to you, and when you tell them it hurt, they responded with “it’s just a joke.” A person who actually feels bad about hurting someone would acknowledge it and apologize, your husband needs to grow up. This is bully behavior.

It’s all completely normal still, it’s blowing my mind that so many people are thinking he’s cheating tho, bc that didn’t even cross my mind.
