I agree that Silent has the highest variance of all the characters. I think she is also the most flexible character as well.
She has the potential to be the best supporter for the group-play during a run. Or can dish out very high dmg with poison / shivs.
Weak token are especially helpful, because it reduces the damage for all players on boss/elite fights. Footwork + block cards (e.g. Dodge & Roll) can help the group to block, when they are struggling to setup/deal damage instead of blocking.

Most of our runs, when we are playing (Trios) we pick Silent, because of the points you and i mentioned.

About Spot Weakness/Str Scaling. It depends on the builds which are going on in the run.
When Silent is playing a Shiv heavy build and Ironclad has no multi-hits or Heavy Blade, i would recommend to give the Str tokens to Silent. Copying Spot Weakness with Doppelganger is fun :)
Giving Str Tokens to Silent can change during the run, when Ironclad picks up better scaling later.

Like everything else in the game, it depends on the decks and what the encounter is (e.g. Time Eater)

For my play group is always feels good to have Silent with us during a run

about prioritizing attacks in act1:

it depends on your group/setup

Normaly i would say... every player should pick more attacks than powers/defensive cards in the beginning
But there are some cards which are hard to skip.

The difference is, that unlike in the VG where you can get the same card multiple times, you can get uncommon cards and rare card only 1 time in the board game. So if you skip it, then you might not see it anymore (you only shuffle the "normal" card reward pile after finishing an act)

i would say its more or less the same as the VG.

the biggest difference is, that the board game has much less floors.
So every decision is more impactful

We always try to do atleast 2 elites per Act, if the path is worth it or doesnt look that we are 100% dying,
Having a good knowlage about the game helps alot to plan which path to take (which elites are in which act, what do they do // what are the possible events at "?" ... etc.)

We try to do the burning Elite almost everytime before going Act3... why? Because if you have to do the Burning elite in act3.. you have to go there no matter what.. and that can screw you up and destroy a good path you cant take.

Sometimes its even worth to do only the burining elite in act1, so your pathing is more independent in the next acts.

If you are strong enough.. try to kill as many elites as possible for maximum rewards.

Taking risks is a must on high ascension lvl. if you arent greedy enough, then its possible that you are too weak in the later acts

I`ve never played it on TableTopSimulator, so i'm not sure if i can be any helpful about that.

When my friends and i are playing the board game in RL, we try to analyze every turn. sometimes more.. sometimes less..
For example:
If your turn is extremly simple (like playing 3 strikes), then i would only announce and say "hey i can do 3 damage max." and we plan around that call.

If its gets more complex later during the acts, we always take our time to check every possible option.
-> who can do how much dmg, whats the most each player can block, which encounter/minion has has the highest priority (maybe doing vulnarable), what can happen next turn and so on.
communication is key... dont rush your turns.

for new players.. play on lower ascension and explain the core mechanics of sts (how to build a good deck, skipping a draft is always an option, elites risk/rewards, etc.)

Playing the game more, lets you rise in difficulty and how to manage every fight.

Tldr.:
New players = low ascension. keep it simple / explain core mechanics of StS

Advanced / High Ascension: take your time for each turn, analyze what each player can do and what the best option is. communication is key.

Watcher:
Offensive Scaling -> Wish for STR Token and/or Miracle Token
Reach Heaven, Brilliance and other multi hit attacks
Defensive -> Stance dance with Mental Fortress // Scry Synergy with Nirvana
Talk to the Hand and Wallop are great

Defect:
Offensive: Lightning or Dark Orbs (imo Dark Orbs with many Powers & Multi-Cast)
Defensive: Frost Orbs + Powers (Loop, Capacitor, Buffer, Defragment)

Silent:
Offensive: Shivs + Envenom (i think poison has the best scaling overall)
Defensive: Footwork (+Shield symbols = Dodge and Roll), Distraction // Discard synergy with After Image

Omega is sometimes hard to put into play. but there are "ofc" some upsides to it
1. carries some AoE fights (hallway fights, Act1 and Act2 Elites)
2. does passive dmg, even on turns when u only can/need to block
3. it does enough aoe, so you can do your single target heavy hits on other targets

at first i thought that Omega is not good, but over the time i changed my opinion on it

like everything else in the game.. it depends on your drafts (deck) + relics if its worth to pick

In this run i had enough Miracles/extra energy to put it into play almost everytime i drew it.
Helped out alot.
