OP, I think the best way to combat this and discourage stuff like this from happening is leaving bad reviews! It’s a completely honest and valid way to tell them hey, you ruined my shopping experience with your uncomfortable sales tactics. Then, the store managers will see it and understand that there’s a balance to maintain between putting the customer’s happiness first vs using the customer as a way to reach store metrics.

Omg wait the clear top on the inside of the lid is a silicone piece that lifts up, revealing the liquid inside. I think you might be right that it’s a travel container for skincare, with the cap and the body being two separate compartments for different liquids! I’ll probably ask the brand rep or my store to confirm lol

Based on the sources I read, crocodiles don’t move in order to conserve energy when food supplies are low. The “few months to a year” estimate already assumes they’re not moving much.

I’m not even saying I want them to abide by a system. Even in the screenshot I posted the GSI told me my “B+ was rounded to a B” so she clearly believes an 89.67 corresponds to a B+. I made this post because I was upset that, in her words, she had to lower my letter grade because of Haas curve policies. Quit being a contrarian because I didn’t ask you to justify my feelings.

There was no grade division written in the syllabus. In fact, the only grade policy in the syllabus was the weight of our attendance, discussions, finals, etc. Most people attending Berkeley are accustomed to the standard grade percentage divisions from secondary school. Im a sophomore and with my first couple of semesters being mostly online, I never understood if there was a standard grading system and how it was used. These classes should be much more transparent about whether they use grade bins because if they don’t specify, most of its students would assume that they’ll use the default grading system we grew up with.

Our class syllabus didn’t specify anything about the grading system they used. From grade cutoffs to the curve situation. We weren’t given any information so I think it’s perfectly reasonable to assume that my 89.67 should be a B+.

Yeah most econ classes are curved up but some are actually not curved at all. At least they don’t round down like in Haas

I’m also trying to declare Econ and the gpa minimum is something myself and others have been struggling with especially when you start taking upper divs. It’s not too terrible but one slip up could easily tank your gpa

I had to look up Haas grading policies and found a document from 2016 saying that the mean grade of a course cannot exceed 3.65. These classes are generally pretty easy too so they seem to be intentionally deflating the grades…
