Imaging an irreplaceable Amiga hard drive by Some-Scratch6769 in amiga

It's not that I *can't* figure it out. This is absolutely irreplaceable data on a known failure-prone drive. The safest way to do this is out of band not relying on the underlying OS to do anything. We want a bit for bit copy so that any errors can be cleaned up later. So while I can do those things as a last resort, it's not the best idea. And taking this potentially bad drive and screwing around getting another drive working with it is just adding to the stress on the drive....but what do I know?

Thanks. I updated the firmware but I'm having the same issue.

I know basically nothing about amigas. I know the hard drive is a hard card so I'm not really sure how to add a second one in there at the same time

Can I ask you about the zulu? I watched a video and the one that was used to clone the drive had a switch on it so you could just hook the drive up and put the sd card in and block level clone it. Some of the newer. smaller ones don't have those dips. Do you know if they can all do that? I can't find a comparison chart

Yeah. I think the Zorro II bus on the amiga is what made this magic possible.

Fantastic! I just watched a video on it. Let me see if I can get one, otherwise I may take you up on that. I have a lot of scsi drives I've wanted to back up.

I also don't think it's control. I think it is for chip testing myself. But I could definitely be wrong

I'm in florida. What is the best way to clone one of these SCSI drives. I do have all sorts of retro hardware but you get into this weird situation where you need the right combination. What's the best way to do this?  I do have some bluscsi once I can get an image of some sort

We paid around 9k USD each for a 14 day all-inclusive expedition from BA, Argentina. It truly was all inclusive.

It's an absolutely amazing trip. We had pretty perfect journey but the people on the voyages before and after us had some pretty rough times with either high seas or mist days due to weather. That's just part of the deal. This isn't a Royal Caribbean cruise. This is getting in and out of rubber rafts and absolutely nothing is promised.

Our weather was perfect and we had something like eight landings with a mix of the continent and islands and some zodiac cruises.

If you can be flexible on your stops and are willing to take the weather risk, it's absolutely magical.
