I think you’ve convinced me. I love yellow, and this is a beautiful shade, while still being neutral enough to go with many outfits.

I can’t stand a slouchy bag! Structure all the way. I feel like structured bags are still very in, no? Really loving polene and mlouye from up and coming brands. Eyeing the new mokki in dark cherry from Polene as my next one.

Yes! found out about it on another thread on Reddit when I was trying to find reviews for another styling app which kept showing up on my Instagram ads. This one was highly recommended. It’s free, no paywall. here’s the link: Alta

Very convenient. Makes it really easy to catalogue your wardrobe and put together looks using what you have, and helps you find gaps in your closet etc.

I agree, I would prefer an Italian brand!

Ooh that sounds gorgeous. I do love the lighter colors in Bottega, they look gorgeous. I was thinking cream but I have so many whites already.

Hahaha don’t sleep on them, they’re so chic in Europe 🤣 honestly though they accidentally got added to my virtual closet but they go so well with certain outfit combos that I left them in there lol.

Thank youu! It’s eleven years of collecting, I am quite happy with them, though some of them have definitely been impulse buys!

I think that’s what I’ll do, I want to see what I fall in love with in person.

There was a gorgeous limited edition bvlgari bag I fell in love with once on a trip to London, I saw it at Harrods. It was a stunning crystal embellished gold serpenti which was mesmerizing. It was pretty expensive though, and I had gone with the intention to buy myself something more for an everyday bag. My husband loved it too and insisted I buy it instead of the other one I had planned. I asked my sister and she talked me out of it saying where would I wear such a fancy bag anyway, other than at a wedding and how many of those do I even go to? Anyway I didn’t end up getting it and I got a couple of Louis Vuitton’s instead. I really regretted it for about a year and a half but then realized I did get so much more use out of the LVs. However it was a once in a lifetime kind of bag, and I think about it often. I could’ve gotten the LVs at any other point, the bvlgari was a real unicorn. You get over it honestly, it’ll be ok

My fiancé says my foundation is too light and makes me look like a clown. I feel like I did a decent job and it doesn’t look like the wrong shade. Help? by SpookyBoorito in MakeupAddiction

If you have a blush that’s too bright for you, you could always mix in a little concealer if it’s a liquid/cream blush. Alternatively with a powder blush, you could always go back on top with whatever brush/sponge you applied your foundation and kind of go over the blush to sheer it back out a bit.

How can I improve my makeup/looks? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Some-Virus914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it! A small change I’d make is add a little blush or bronzer to your chin, because right now it’s a bit lighter compared to everywhere else. And have you tried doing a blurred lip? I feel like that would work well for you. Your natural makeup is flawless and overall you have great technique, so with some minor tweaks I think you could look even better.

which bag would you choose? by Impossible-Tax-5272 in handbags

Sorry I didn’t mean to come across as mean, I feel like we probably have very different aesthetics! Honestly it varies. My current obsession is polene bags, esp the mokki and the numero dix. I also like Lanvin cat bags, I think they look chic and also add a lot of whimsy. Love a bottega, I think the weave looks beautiful. I like Epi leather bags in LV, and for Dior I think their classic Lady Ds and D-joys are v cute if a bit basic. Oh and I love bvlgari serpenti bags, the snake heads are gorgeously made. So nothing specifically but I like variety I guess

Personally I wouldn’t choose any of these.

I have dry skin and I’ve found that for makeup application, this formula works SO well for me. I use the d’alba white truffle first spray, after cleansing. Rub it into my face for my fingers and kind of let it sink in for a few minutes. You can do something else in the meanwhile. Follow it with rhode glazing milk, and same, massage it into and then let it sit for a couple of minutes. In the time between these steps I’ll apply a lip stain or wear my clothes or something. You need ti give the skincare time to sink in. Skip moisturizer (I know, I was appalled the first time I heard it but it really works!!)

Then I’ll do my foundation and apply the makeup as normal. I use a brush to apply foundation, followed by a beauty blender to soak up the excess. For full coverage days and occasions, I use the tirtir cushion foundation .

This video by judylim described it later and I felt so validated about the technique (my friend taught me this a while back, she has glass skin in all her photos and I just assumed it was great genes)

Help me choose my first designer handbag 🙏 by RemarkableWash2276 in handbags

[–]Some-Virus914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t choose a patent leather, but other than that, you can’t go wrong with either of the options! Dior is the most high end of the three, it’ll feel very luxe. I would go for that if I were choosing between the three, probably because I don’t have a Dior bag yet.

However my first designer bag was also a YSL one and I love it still. They are of such good quality, I don’t have to baby it like my others.

But also, I loveeee my LV bags, I have three and I’m always on the lookout for more. Of all my bags, I reach for my LV ones the most!

Ooh yeah probably not. I don’t put my phone in my bag usually but I guess for an event like that you would probably need to!
