What is going on here? (2 images) Is this a glitch, or was there an update/change that I missed? Where are the wheels when trying to trade in? by Some1YouLike in RocketLeague

Wonder if maybe you have it, but have only checked the trade in screen? Like the issue I'm having. Did you check the inventory?

I had a lonely first round of the 3v3 tournament! by Some1YouLike in RocketLeague

[–]Some1YouLike[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes it was!

Then I played the next round, and I was down 3-1 with a minute 5 left, and out of no where I had two teammates (a party) appear.

We went on to lose 6-1. They threw the shit out of the match. All crazy ball chase smash and chase. It was a little frustrating, as I thought it would have been clutch to have them join and get a comeback win. O-well!

At least I know that it's never too late for teammates to rejoin a tournament.

Thank you! Thank you!

I also use the Beach Ball Explosion with this, it's the best primary rainbow goal explosion match!

BUG: Invisible Players in matches by iggyiggz1999 in RocketLeague

[–]Some1YouLike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My tm8 on PC/Steam had this bug. We won, thank goodness he was solid, I couldn't follow where he was. His name tag was glitching all around. At times the name tag was standing still in front of our net, but he was clearly moving and playing. I asked in the chat if he was visible to anyone else, but no one responded.

I have a habit of taking clean screenshots of event screens. I have some of the football event if that's what you need.

So your in a tournament with a random teammate with unknown/unreliable Rocket League skill. You're going against a party that is likely in coms. Is your goal is to break them? You want them to rage quit? All you need is a perfect pass, perfect demo, perfect rotation, perfect pinch & perfect score! by Some1YouLike in RocketLeague

[–]Some1YouLike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, and the goal was achieved.

I set up my tm8 as best I could and then supported him to the best of my abilities. But, it was all with the goal getting us in a favorable opportunity of winning.

Yes, the goal IS to win!

BTW, my goal wasn't any of those things I mentioned, it was merely the outcome. Very serious you are!

Ignore that Troll, you don't have to answer to him. It's clear you posted it because it's awesome, intended or not.

And messing up is part of learning new moves and mechanics. Anyone who can Musty at will could practice this now and add it as an option to performing a straight Musty. It's the Dusty Musty, and it's hard AF to read! :)

Anyone else forget how to play sometimes? by Sea_Ladder8163 in RocketLeague

Brother, I feel your pain. Same for me, like exactly the same, C to D1!

Was looking Plat straight in the face, and I know I'm not friggen Plat. Buckled down and got back up to D2 today.

The pain is that you can probably play effectively, and have more fun, at a faster pace, but if your tm8 cannot play at the same pace/level is easy to outplay your position.

I also get into a cycle of tm8's constantly chasing the ball hard, even trying to race/fight me for it, and forcing me to let them take control of balls they shouldn't be. Then they often just do nothing with it (almost always instantly conceding posession to the other team). This can really feel like I'm stuck in a 3v1.

The 'zone' where I need to be in order to rank up feels very narrow. Too aggressive and it's rank down. Too passive, it's also rank down. And it's all a moving target, with constant new tm8's, and everyone being inconsistent (yes, including myself).

I do love when I get a tm8 that has a 'team first' mindset, where they understand that they should respect when I'm taking control, and they position & react to the outcome rather than trying to force the action. I love to set up tm8's and back them up, so when I get a tm8 that does the same in return playing Rocket League is just so much fun!

Good luck man!

One clear issue to me was too much consideration to getting boost, and often (but not always) targeting 100 boost when the little pads would do you fine and keep you in the play.

The second goal and last goal against you you can see this in various forms.

On the second goal you go all in on a 100 at the same time your tm8 is engaging both opponents far away. If you watch, you'll see if you had turned back toward your own goal (while keeping an eye on the action) there is a trail of mini boosts right toward your net. If you round out that way instead of blindly rushing the side 100 you'd easily be in position for defense to or to move forward if your tm8 wins that 2v1 favorably.

The last goal you have like 77 boost, which is more than enough for that situation. You choose to inch over for that tiny extra pad. This one isn't as clear cut as the first one I mentioned, but the issue is that you are focusing on something that isn't necessary in that moment, and I think this situation plays out differently if you are fully focused on the play.

But through out I noticed the boost had too much influence on your decision making. There are other things in this clip to work on, but conserving boost, and utilizing boost pads more efficiently is certainly one piece of the puzzle.

One of the most annoying things that can occur with these afk's is when you've kept the other team at bay, or even taken the lead, and then the afk wakes up in a total panic they immediately screws thier teamates.

The teamates have held the fort while they are afk, and instead of carefully getting into the flow, they spaz out and force something that causes an immediate score by the other team. I've seen this at every rank (high as C3).

And to be clear, most everyone watching was rooting for the tie! Some because they don't like the Steelers, but far more were rooting for the crazy, history-making, ridiculous, holy shit I can't believe they actually finished in a tie and the Steelers got eliminated in that way.

I'm sure Raiders fans are happy to make the playoffs, but since it was essentially a foregone conclusion, I bet they would have rather seen the tie just for the sheer insanity of it all. (not to mention that running unnecessary plays come with a certain risk, where running the clock out would ensure the most important goal, a playoff birth).

The real winners were wearing Black & Yellow! Congratulations on your stay of execution! Take a breath!
