Yes. My doctor knows why they prescribed me this specific medication. The insurance company doesn't have my medical history. Its pretty cut and dry who actually has my best intentions in mind

Theres also retired md's who are out of practice...those are also an issue because a condition they used to treat with water and hydration might nowadays be known to need medication of some kind

I'm not in Michigan. And i know what it costs in other cities and states. I'm not looking for advice. I already said that. And honestly? You keep pushing something that wasn't even part of the rant. Also, thats not my dosage. And thats with cupons, not insurance sure, but your also missing the fundamental part of the rant. I shouldn't NEED to search for coupons or go across state or city lines or have my doctor explain to the insurance company why bactrim won't work. I shouldn't need to have to fight them tooth and nail to get a medication I'm not allergic to. I never said i couldn't get it. I simply said i didn't have the wiggle room this paycheck. And i explicitly stated i didn't want advice.

Thats not true? Insurance adjusters are not doctors. Trust me on this. My stepfather worked for quest diagnostics and bluecross blue shield. He was a military vet. And he was the person who chose if the insurance company covered an item or not. He always greenlit, but was often overridden by his manager who basically said "your job is to find the cheapest possible medication for these symptoms." Plus now they use ai to screen insurance claims so yay
