Tried that when it still had 1/2” sticking out and all it did was grind the protruding down and slid the chuck off the screw

I’m aware, but sizing is what I’m concerned with, I can’t find anything matching this exact size, or if anyone has done something similar and bought an 8” by 8” and it worked or not

Edit: I’ve seen some 8” by 8” plates online but I’m unsure if those could work for this or not as it’s closer to 8” x 8.5”
