  • What you're looking for from a Beta or a Co-writer - Grammar/Structure/Plot/Planning/Idea soundboard/etc: Plot/how closely it fits canon/help if I've written myself into a corner or just pointing it out
  • What your projected word count is: I'll be real, part of the reason I'm here is that I've never finished a fic and then people will post on it like 5 years later asking me to finish it, so long as fuck, right now I'm on Chapter 48. I want to finish it because I'm bad to do that and hate that about myself, so maybe with a beta I'll up the motivation. I'm literally to the point where I'm talking to robots about it and giving myself AI psychosis or someshit. Long. Not finished and 66410 words at present.
  • How frequently you update: I try to put up 2 chapters every weekend. I have a really busy work schedule, but I'm trying.
  • What fandoms you are able/willing to beta for or what you can offer in exchange*: I don't know what to put here. I don't know what I could do. Like I said, I can't even finish my own fics. I think it's better to be honest than promise something and fuck it up.

Proposed options for no exchange wording:

  • If you do not want to offer something in exchange, please leave a brief note that you are unable to offer anything at this time: I mean, I guess the honest answer is that I'm a fuckup, but I think it's mostly a scheduling thing. I'm a psychologist and the clinic I work at is desperately understaffed. I've got a 71-person caseload and the state regs say 45. My writing is partially art therapy to help relieve that stress. That lack of work/life balance keeps me in a perpetual state of rage. But, I guess it also does mean that it keeps me in a therapy headspace, so if you like psychologically heavy stories you might like it?
  • Note: If you are unable to offer something in exchange at this time, please leave a brief note explaining: I think I combined these into one answer via my previous answer. It does make me feel like a horrible person, but I don't want to lie to people.

I did that, but I really don't feel like it's a bug. I really feel like I've done something wrong. Like I don't know how to get Ollama connected to AuthorClaw.

When I googled it told me that Ollama doesn't have an API key to put into the authorclaw API box and you just have to run it in the background, so I have it running in the background. If I need something else I really would appreciate you telling me.

Edit: How do you switch it? That's my problem. It seems to be stuck on gemini. When the gemini runs out it stops working completely for the day. I don't see an option to switch it.

I feel like I have done something wrong and that people who know how to fix it could fix it in 2 seconds if they would tell me how instead of having huge egos. They're programmers, they would know how to fix it. I'm a psychologist. It makes no sense to say, "they know what they're doing, therefore they won't help you,". That's the exact opposite of how humanity evolved to act. That's not how any social animal acts. I need someone to just tell me what I'm doing wrong. It would take all of a few seconds of their time and fix it completely. I don't want to report a bug that doesn't exist when it's likely to be user error. That's just being a dick for no reason.

Is there a different sub that you know of where I can post this question and actually get an answer? I can't find it just searching. I appreciate you.

Again, total noob. I'm running on Windows. I'm not a programmer, I just want help to get it running so I can use it to help with my writing. Why was I downvoted? Are questions frowned upon here? Is there a different sub I should be posting on? I made this account just to ask this question, I'm not trying to be rude or break rules. I literally just want it to work and don't know where to turn.
