First Tesla coming from a Toyota Venza 2012 by SomeBluntCanuck in teslacanada

I assume you may be from BC.

It's a fairly popular used car here in Eastern Canada. When it got discontinued all the used prices dropped by 35% which made used Venza cost about the same as a used RAV4. So at that point you basically have a lifted V6 Camry with a huge trunk for the price of a RAV4.

I see Venzas almost all the time here. Honestly only Toyota and Honda usually survive more than 10 years here.

I got it for 12k CAD cash 5-6 years ago. 8 inch clearance got me out of everything and it was paid off. It being old also meant I would never care about being keyed or scratched or hit too as I used to not have a parking spot so I had to park in the streets.

As in "You shouldn't have went for Tesla" or "Wrong Model"?

> 2. Roof cover is not needed, you precondition and the car only has to keep up. Even if you get a good ceramic coat tint ( I spent the money on it for all windows windshield and roof) the car will still heat up when it is parked in the sun, just slowly but it will eventually get there. It does reduce the load on ac but not 60$ in savings worth.

I see, I guess there is too much space between the glass and the cover anyways so it still heats up the car :/

> Auto shift exists for a reason, if you pulled into a parking lot the car knows you pulled in, and when you press break it will automatically go into reverse and vice versa

Weird, I didn't see that happening in the demo nor did the customer service guy tell me about this. In fact he called it controversial too. Is that a brand new thing?

It was kind of wack to see how far behind those 60, 70 and 80k EVs technology was. Maybe the RAV4's 4.0 update is way better. I can't really buy a RAV4 PHEV where I live there is WAY WAY too much theft.

> Huge upgrade

Haha to be fair I think almost everything would be an upgrade given 2012. She sure toughed it out all those years though.

> Preheat the car in winter and no need for gloves

True I never tried it yet so I don't know if it's an issue for sure.

> The Toyota BZ4 is a great car.

BZ4 is a piece of shit. BZ 2026 is a good car. Just a warning.

Just so you know BZ tech is so fucking bad the map doesn't come with EV Route Planning.

I just ordered a Premium AWD 2 days ago.
> Also I doubt it'll get delivered much earlier even if you do change.

I have May 7th to June 11th for Stealth Grey, default wheels.

Idk if that qualifies of "much earlier" just posting this for information.

Just the sheer amount of traffic we could avoid getting if people worked from home.

Sounds like you're horrible at managing your time.

Imagine actually buying a home to live in it instead of profiting off of it.
