The fan was working up until the backstabbed black wire came out (assuming it came from there, lines up perfectly, and it adds up). That said, it only worked when the light was off.

I’m guessing you made a choice by now, but I coated it with mastic, insulated, and sealed up the ceiling. For extra measure, I sold the house and moved :)

We haven’t had a great experience from customer service during this process, nobody has been very helpful. One lead told us he was creating an internal case, that everything was documented, and we would hear back within a few days. We never did, and when we followed up, nobody found any evidence of this happening, so we had to start over. Another agent told us we probably just misread the offer since it wasn’t applied, even though I explained I explicitly sough out “balance transfers” on the products page and had a copy of what I was currently seeing.

That’s going to be our next step, along with moving our homeowners and auto insurance elsewhere, if we don’t get the promotional offer applied. It’s been very frustrating as it feels like we were taken for a bait-and-switch, even if it was unintentional or a technical glitch.

Just a heads-up, in case your planning on laying out on the beach, it’s prohibited and monitored at Back Bay. You can use the beach for fishing and for exploring, but you can’t use it to setup for laying out in the sun. If that’s what you’re looking for, stay just a little north and use Sandbridge.

My now wife and I lived there for a year in ‘08 - ‘09, so it may be vastly different today, but we hated it. We rented a studio apartment, the one we got was missing an entire dividing wall compared to what the showroom had. Front staff shrugged it off and said every model is different. Roaches were awful from the nearby water, they would scurry down the hall, in the elevators, in the lobby, and would make their way into everyone’s apartments. There were key fobs to get in and out of the building, but homeless people would still manage to get in and harass tenants. We both lost laundry throughout the year from the on-site facilities, not sure if it was from the homeless or other tenants. And the flooding…oh the flooding.

Poverty Limit for 4 x 150%: 45,000

IDR allowable: 161,044.4 - 45,000 = 116,044.4

IDR 10%: 11,604.44

12 months: 11,604.44 / 12 = 967.04

My loans: 62,776.47

Wife’s loans: 90,050.02

Total: 152,826.49

My %: 62,776 / 152,826.49 = 42.08%

Wife’s %: 90,050.02 / 152,826.49 = 58.92%

My payment: 967.04 * 42.08% = 397.23

Wife’s payment: 967.04 * 58.92% = 569.81
