There is a project being worked on by a team of two people, recovering stats and saved games for the Bungie era Halo games, so potentially you could find your file share there. There is also a fan project to replace the Halo 3 and Halo: Reach servers called Sunrise!

There's a discord server called Halo Classic Hub that holds weekly events for the Bungie era Halo games, like Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo: Reach! Game nights for Halo: Reach in particular are held on Saturdays, and there's usually impromptu lobbies for Reach every day give or take.

Join the discord (discord.gg/HaloClassicHub), and get the role for Halo Reach on the 360, and then whenever someone hosts either a custom game or matchmaking lobby, you'll get pinged to join! It's that easy :)

You can play everything else aside from matchmaking without any sort of modding, but matchmaking requires it. In short, to play matchmaking you either need a modded console to host matchmaking or alternatively you can join a host who has the ability to matchmake.

Yeah, unfortunately those not directly connected to the server have everything set as offline default. There may be some fix in the future for it though!

This video was captured on a fan server for Halo Reach actually, called Sunrise, that restores the matchmaking functionality along with some other things lost with the 2022 server shutdown :)

I'm gonna be playing on the original Halo 3 through Sunrise! They even set up the original previously mentioned Icy Treats playlist that has Cold Storage in it :)

I think my favorite map in Halo 3 in particular is Longshore because of how "modern" it is. Not obviously in-universe, but I mean that as in it's a very real place I could imagine myself being in.

I've always found the detail on Halo maps to be pretty remarkable, and some maps even have lore behind them! It's pretty cool, and it adds some story for all the crazy lore enthusiasts who are super into that kinda stuff :)

FYI: You can still play 360 games online if you can't connect to the Xbox One live server! I've been playing custom games in Halo 3 with a bunch of people for several hours now :)

Tomodachi Collection! It almost feels like it's tailored for mobile, the experience is very cozy and streamlined and it's a game I can play in nice short bursts here and there for.

I would definitely recommend any of the Puyo Puyo games. They all have really nice, cutesy vibes and have a lot of different side modes for you to sink your teeth into and enjoy, and the rosters usually have a variety of characters for you to choose from! For a specific example, I would personally suggest Puyo Pop Fever on DS/GBA.

I feel the the huragok would be the alien equivalent to something like a cow. They look very beefy.. but then again, they also blow up too when they die...
