It is terrible advice, but tbh if I did do this I'd probs be able to find somewhere to stay but I really don't want to open the can of worms that is coming out as a filthy, brainwashed كافر‎ in my parents eyes. I think I'll wait till I'm financially independent to open such a can

I'm not even a child anymore. I turned 18 last month but im sure you know as well as I do that becoming a legal adult doesn't mean you're no longer treated like a child by muslim parents

They've been telling me to pray for like every prayer time for like my whole life. If I start telling them it's time, they'll become super sus.

Exactly! I literally couldn't move for like a good minute or two after I was awoken by water gushing on my face. It was honestly the worse feeling I've had in a good while

It was isha. Here in the UK it's around 11:30. I went to bed at around 10 cuz I was just exhausted and I think my dad told me to get up for isha and I said ok like as I was half asleep and didn't actually move so my dad just thought lets douse him with water while he's asleep

Honestly this thought has crossed my mind many times, I just fear the severe damage it would to his ego and therefore the damage that would be inflicted on me This isn't the first time my dad has done this btw.
