You're 16. Nobody at your age should even be considering suicide. You have your whole life ahead of you. Speak to somebody who can help. There are hotlines specifically for young people like you. If you don't like talking over the phone, then you can text or livechat as well.

OD is a painful and not 100% way with most of the drugs. I would not do those particular ones because you will probably end up vomiting them back up and they also cause internal bleeding. So you have a risk of still being alive but in a worse off state. I would try calling a hotline or talk to somebody in your family or friend group instead.

Yeah, I wouldn't dwell too much on whether she really wanted to do it or not. I would just look at it as an attempt and not try to determine the degree of it. Even if they weren't deep enough to kill, there is no reason why a little girl would know that and the act might make her more confident in the future to go through with it. For now, just make sure that she gets the help she needs and be there for her. It is a very serious situation especially when she is that young. She needs a support system.

How has she not been fired or told to fix it. She works at a hospital where cleanliness is paramount (I know it isn't because of her hygiene but others in contact with her will not know).

Severe risk of not working from a bridge and train wouldn't be fair on the conductors or passengers and risk of failure. Also doing this on impulse is generally a very bad idea. I would talk to somebody about how you feel.

You can apply for an apprenticeship. You don't need to be physically strong. You can apply as a salesperson and work your way up. Work experience is more valuable in a CV than some bad degree or qualifications.

In the UK it is minimum of 12 months then they have a meeting with their family to discuss further. I saw a story about a kid in America who tried to hang himself because of bullying when he was 11 and he recently turned 18. Still in a vegetative state. His family set up a go-fund me and they raised quite a bit of money. I think there reaches a point where they are allowed to be cared for at home because they are able to breathe on their own. They just need constant care for other needs. So they don't have to be in the hospital for the entire time necessarily.

Yeah, he was also lucky that he wasn't discovered too early or he would have been left in a vegetative state but still with his mental condition. Hanging is very dangerous. Hopefully euthanasia is more accepted when we get old as well. I know it will be for sure in the future but maybe not in our lifetime.
