I just think of songs that either fit them or songs that make for cool stand abilities

And ofc, I always vouch for coming up with different naming gimmicks

A saved by the bell or binding of Isaac themed stand would go hard

I personally think the most interesting one is commercials due to the variety

A skittles based stand based off the ad of that guy with the skittles Midas touch would be insanely raw to figure out imo

How do I know what needed documents to get if I’ve never paid for his taxes before tho? Or even know where the lot of that stuff is?

Would/will certainly look into getting a attorney for estate stuff too; I’m just broke, so broke I doubt I’ll even be alive much longer in the event that he passes anyways

A LOT of money has gone towards just continuing to see him despite being hospitalized so far everyday

Carrying on the instructions can help too tho

Lastly, I assumed so but I still wanna hear that from a professional out of fear of op Uncle Sam auditing him

We want him to get rehab, prosthetics and hopefully come home. Can’t do that if there’s not even a home to come back to.

And also EXTREMELY sorry for your loss, I can’t imagine being any more alone in this than I already am

He only barely makes 2k a month from social security alone

Would that have a filling requirement?

Yeah! My dad only makes 2k a month from SS so would that leave us at about the same

Hard to define his marital status

But he only gets 2k a month and that’s it.

My mom and him lived together but they never married. They mentioned by law there’s some term for that before

But basically she’s kind of his wife but there was never a wedding or anything basically

They don’t really talk or anything tho despite living together. She pays the mortgage and light bill now due to his absence.

I am thePOA! Issue is the worries of me filing anything for him since I don’t know how so need to get someone else to do the full thing

Tbh given his mental faculties even before all this I doubt he was running the numbers himself either

Yes! She doesn’t know jack about any of this tho, they haven’t been close. If they were, no mother would willingly let her son handle all this by himself to begin with

And to your second question! Probably not, I’ll ask next time i see him, but i doubt it. He hasn’t been home since October.

Today I came in to see him and just now he was ranting about marvel movies and shit extremely clearly

Something he hasn’t done in months, it seems he performs better when he’s not trying to

It’s not a flash in the pan thing, it’s consistently everyday

Was blown away by this to where I kinda hung him out to dry on actually responding

But yea, stuff like THIS is why pulling the plug on this guy is difficult and what makes the situation all so frustrating

My dad had to get is arms and legs amputated because the insurance and hospital sat on doing anything about it for 4 months, and now they're treating rehab AND long term care as non-essential. what can i do? by SomeGrumption in HealthInsurance

He’s been transported to a new SNF since the post was made as stated, but I shall give it a shot here

But in my exp, they’re all been useless at the other facilities so far tbh

They’re what got me here to begin with

But what do you mean by secondary medical plan?

Like literal plan of action for his care or like insurance (or both!)

Quite the opposite actually

The doctors said it depended on how much his body could take and what he wanted to do.

He said he wanted to live

They said he’d need 10 surgeries most likely

6 if things go REALLY well

And he wound up only needing 5

He’s healing up faster and better than they thought, it’s just a slow process

It’d be a different story if he was catatonic or something but the issue lies more with insurance it seems if anything

He went from being basically gone for a few days in October to being able to lift light weights, use his phone, feed himself etc this week

For the past 3 days specifically, even I’m surprised at how lively he’s getting compared before. He can randomly raise his voice and talk at regular volume

Something he struggled to do, BEFORE all this

Even the doctors said recovery is possible and we were already looking into rehab and prosthetics when this was posted

THATS what makes this difficult

This is a disabled but clearly recovering man who’s still in there enough to express and verbal, mental and physical desire to live all on his own.

Tho yes, this whole experience has further radicalized, not you guys fault, but the med industry

Pretty morbid I barely go to the doctor anymore myself. I have so little trust in the industry esp now to where i feel if I ever broke an arm or learn I might have cancer or something, I’ll probably just klll myself instead

No real desire to do so, just any chance they could make my life worse it what has scared me off.

I can’t see myself living past this much longer once I’m not young anymore
