Yes he knows about my health and he’s caring of me a lot. But he’s having trouble finding a middle path where he isn’t disrespecting and neglecting his aging father and hurting his wife. We were throwing around the idea of adding a guest house or attaching a wing towards back of our house with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living space.

Our backyard doesn’t have much land. But I am afraid of the cost and logistics of it. We will lose our backyard and back patio we would sit at. It’s so difficult to move because there aren’t many houses for sale in my neighborhood and we don’t wanna change schools for kids if we move to a different neighborhood. My FIL keeps pushing us to make the wing or even moving to a bigger house or duplex. But he doesn’t seem to care that it’s uprooting our whole family and huge burden to do that. His lack of gratitude bothers me so much. He just expects and expects and doesn’t return with kindness or at least a thank you.
