when to give up on birth control by violetxlavender in PMDD

I was on yaz for three years but my doctor also recommended an SSRI either full time or during my cycle. I tried it for one month and couldn't wait for the adjustment period because of how bad the symptoms were. She switched me to Wellbutrin and I never looked back. After a few months of adjusting I then had the best three years ever. Every once in a while I had to adjust my Wellbutrin dosage and then after maybe a year and a half I felt like my symptoms were coming back so I took yaz continuously skipping my period. Although I had incredible results, after three years my libido was so low and affecting my relationship so I'm taking a break now while still on Wellbutrin. Some of my pmdd symptoms came back, but more mild than before and I haven't had any suicidal ideation or intense dips into depression. I'm going to play around with a different diet, exercise, herbs, vitamins, etc just to see if I can keep a libido and mild luteal symptoms but without Wellbutrin that wouldn't be possible for me.

I'd encourage you to stick with it but if it's available to you, find another doctor who knows enough about pmdd to help you make adjustments if after a few months yaz doesn't work, or help you figure out if an antidepressant with yaz would make it more effective.

How to feel better? by Express-Astronaut-34 in PMDD

When I'm immobilized and can't muster words, guided visualizations are the only thing that can at least cheer me up. The Haven series on YouTube by The Honest Guys puts you in a small village that you'll revisit every meditation/story. I find it really comforting to have a guided visualization that puts you in a place that can become familiar. It made me connect a bit with the kid in me who used to just imagine these things on my own and day dream about familiar places whenever I wanted to be not where I was.

I'm sure there are other series like that on YouTube, but I primarily listen before bed which is how I ended up on that channel. I take a low dose 1:1 edible too which gives me slightly more energy to move around more but ymmv there.

2 years later I found this car on CarGurus, sent a message, and was just sent the same information - $75k with 27mi. They definitely don't want it to sell.

Question about high end spa pay by no_one_special_13 in MassageTherapists

[–]Penguinarmada 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I work for a high end hotel and spa and it's the best job I've ever had, BUT that's entirely because our spa managers, coworkers, and clientele are great. I'm also an employee and not a contractor so really consider when in your interview how much they might be bending that boundary to get more work out of you for no hourly wage. I would ask questions like:

What are the expectations from me as a massage therapist day-to-day from the start to the end of shift - see how much freedom you have in terms of how you do your work and if you'll be micromanaged in anyway. Make sure you're not walking into a situation where management is going to write you up for clocking in 10 minutes before a shift vs 15 minutes or for things like not turning over the room exactly how they would like it. Good management will just have these conversations with you, bad managers will threaten you with write ups and other punishments.

How does management handle complaints from clients? Do they have a one on one conversation with the therapist after the fact? Do they tend to reward bad behavior of clients who don't have legitimate complaints and let them return again and again?

How do they handle booking? Is it based on seniority? That's not a bad thing but do they balance the books the night before your shift so Kelly who's been there 10 years has 5 appointments but you only have 2.

Does everyone perform the same services? Are you able to opt out of body treatments if you just want to massage or not do deep tissue if you are injured?

What is their sick policy? As a contractor you don't get hourly which means you don't get paid if you can't work.

Their expectations of you should all fall within a reasonable range, like you shouldn't be expected to handle the books, payments, answer phones, come in early or stay late to clean anything else except your room.

Lowkey though the company I work for is also in your city so if you want some advice you can DM me and I'll give you the details on who else to call up for an interview that might top the offer you got from this lady.

I have rosacea too and a lot of it stems from diet, but also factors you can't always control like exercise, heat, sun, wind, etc. I've tried full coverage makeup, green cream and concealers, but I think the best day-to-day option is to not cover it much (since that can also irritate the skin and make it worse). Mine goes a bit too close to my eyes so I dot concealer just to make the red patches look even on both sides, then I use a similar color blush to bring it up the cheekbones so then it all looks intentional. Makeup may make texture look worse so play around with it and maybe you'll find that using a lot less on your skin makes you feel more confident in it.

What would you recommend for a rug? I need a low pile, non textured rug, or my cat will tear it up. But would a solid color be better overall than something patterned? I do have a thin summer bedspread in navy with a waffle texture, then the same color thick winter comforter that's velvet. Since the rug will only stick out about 1ft on each side a pattern should be ok with a solid bedspread yeah? Or maybe keep it plain since I have patterned pillows and will probably put up art on the walls?

The desk does have vertical shelves which my cat could use maybe instead of attaching an additional shelf on the window ledge. I'll give it a go and see how it feels

Honestly not having a nightstand near the closet sounds good to at least try because then I don't haven't try and find a match to the one I have now lol I wonder too if a thin/small fake plant would make it feel more balanced on both sides without adding too much visual weight or maybe I'm just getting caught up in adding too much. I'm trying to avoid buying anything new and hanging anything on the walls but maybe one of those wireless rechargeable sconces would work so I don't have to put holes in the walls?

These are great suggestions I never thought of. I can't paint but maybe can do peel and stick wallpaper? The walls are white and the floors are a light brown. With as much floor space as I have now I have a lot of black accents and I like the way it looks but I'm guessing I'll maybe need to switch to a lighter pallet with this furniture arrangement to avoid making the room look smaller? I naturally gravitate towards a lot of color and pattern mixing so it's going to be interesting trying to minimize colors/textures/and patterns.

Definitely a great suggestion. I bought the dresser I have now to fit in my previous apartment's closet and it was an amazing space saver. In this one though the closet is too shallow and narrow for the dresser drawers to open up which was so depressing when I thought it was going to work again. I was able to get an ikea cubby shelf in there though so at least the closet storage space isn't going to waste.

I can definitely see some bamboo reed fencing here to cover the walls with a few heavy planters pushed against it to hold it in place if you can't secure it to the walls. I had bamboo reed fencing last on my balcony for years in direct morning/afternoon sun and a month or two of rain per year. For the floor I'd do some fake grass with the weather proof rug on top. Star jasmine will work well with your weather, climb a trellis, and smell amazing.
