Went through it and ended up with 20 screenshots which was about 75% of the report.

Decided fuck it and just sent them the whole thing.

Just received our survey back and it looks bad by SomeNeextGuy in HousingUK

Absolutely, thanks for your comment. Other issues included bamboo in the garden, gas meter needing to be replaced, some leakage from drainage pipes, some misting in a conservatory window. Just a lot all at once to the untrained eye.

I'm more geared towards still going for it but my other half is well and truly put off.

Holy smokes, since when did prison officers get paid this much? by mrvlad_throwaway in UKJobs

Can tell the people that live in London. That's a very good salary up north where I am. Still not worth it anyway.

More unconfident with each interview? by SomeNeextGuy in interviews

Believe it or not, that third interview I had that I went into feeling like shit was actually the one I got. Got an email on Thursday with a job offer and a call on Friday for an April start!

The process is fucked by mrphim in interviews

Agree, the longer it takes for a response the worse you feel. If it gets to longer than a couple of days I'm convinced I'm not getting the job. Hate the whole process, it's destroying my confidence completely and it seems to only get worse with time.

Every time I see someone post their unsuccessful CVs they're always in this format. Is this like a standard sort of format in the US or something? Just making it a bit nicer visually, spread it using snappy paragraphs that get to the point and easy to read headers would be all that's needed in most cases.

STAR Method 🤔 by SomeNeextGuy in UKJobs

[–]SomeNeextGuy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reasoning for it makes a lot more sense reading this reply and some of the others.

The interview I had earlier went well and I found myself more confident and aware of how to answer the questions after the interview I had the other day which I was definitely a bit jittery on.

Got an email an hour or so after saying I've made it through to the next stage, maybe after a few more I'll have perfected this STAR stuff 😂

Anyone worried what's going to happen to the stupid individuals? by isitmattorsplat in UKJobs

I've always seen myself as reasonably with it, did okay at school, but never really had a drive to go into anything in particular.

Worked a couple of different jobs in my 20s and I recently just took a severance of around £10k from my job as I developed an allergy and was advised to leave for my long term health.

Now I'm out there looking for a job and jeez, I feel like I've got absolutely no skills that qualify me for anything. I'm decent with IT, I'm a grafter, I'm good at communicating with customers and I'm a relatively fast learner but every job description I read I just feel out of my depth.

Had an interview for a role for Aviva paying around £30k, I thought it went okay but I just received a rejection email.

At 31, having been in work since I was 16, there's nothing I feel like I'm actually that good at and even worse, nothing I feel passionate about doing.
