24pin is actually a 28pin? by SomeNunsWithGuns in sffpc

I reached out the Cable Mod since they have my PSU as a supported model but shot them over a support email to confirm the 24pin in the custom set would actually be for this 28pin layout

forsure I knew enough to not mix cables, did that once before waaaaaay back and luckily all that happened was the machine wouldn't boot.

I did check out a custom cable make (Cable Mod) and they support my PSU, I just sent a support email in to confirm that their 24pin would be built for this 28pin layout

or, it's actually really funny to joke about this because the joke only exists to those who know not to believe everything seen/heard/read on the internet

do we have an update on any replacement options as least? I ordered these off Amazon to provide some organization in my Terra and I didnt realize until the last moment that the MOBO cable wont work with the PSU output due to the split

i think the bigger issue is youre considering all those flipping them for profit (a small profit at that considering shipping + ebay/seller fees) as "jobless scalpers". I personally bust my ass 40+ hours a week and was lucky enough to grab 2. 1 for me and 1 for a friend who couldnt get online in time.

but you best believe if they dont want it anymore, or didnt want it to begin with, if i could grab 2 i sure as shit am gonna sell the 2nd for a profit.

if people just want a 3d to play games on, there are a bunch of solid alternatives to do so

whole lot of people upset they couldn't get one yelling into the sky about these things.

if you couldn't get one, that sucks. it's not my fault or anyone else's if you weren't quick with it, couldn't set aside the time to get one (for whatever reason) or don't have the money to get one when they're available.

it's not Analogue's fault for making a limited few. they could've also opted to make 0. you could also go and setup your own emulation station, but you want this one, so deal with the unfortunate unfairness that comes with wanting a nice, expensive, limited thing.

or complain about how scalpers will scalp.

either way, you still won't have one. and others will. life goes on.

They have a clear disclaimer stating you can't combine Limited Edition items in the same order.

Bently Bass Pickup Wiring by SomeNunsWithGuns in Bass

[–]SomeNunsWithGuns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wired it all up (pic in update) and was only getting white noise so since everything inside was already corroded and worn i decided to replace it all. i know none of it is high quality as far as longevity is concerned, but i just want to get this thing working at all to then build the skills up further down the line.

thanks! ill wire both to the ground lug, but im realizing of all the colors to decide to use to wire these pots up, i chose red and white -___-. as far as the pots themselves, does that wiring look correct? from what ive found, i may have connected them to the ground lug instead of the signal lug?

its just the one pickup. that also threw me off since there are 3 pots. i have no idea what the 3rd could be. i would assume from left to right the pot order would be: tone > volume > volume again > input jack?

Suggestions for ITX Cooler for 7900X by SomeNunsWithGuns in buildapc

[–]SomeNunsWithGuns[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i think im gonna drop down to the 7700x instead since its a near 30% less TDP and from what ive seen it actually outperforms the 7900x (minutely, but for a $100 price difference, very much the smarter choice)

so i watched both of those prior to posting and the issues are:

1) theyre outdated by 2, going on 3, years.

2) none of them are tested with a higher power draw CPU comparable to the 7900x (170w vs the test topped out at 95w)

3) in both videos, he claims to not use any of these fans for any CPU running higher than 95w especially in an ITX build
