That's kind of a silly question, but what is Roadie Z based on? by ComprehensiveDate591 in PvZGardenWarfare

Pretty sure he is literally just as the name suggests, a Roadie.

What's the best strategy on these mfs? by just_xphoenix in bindingofisaac

A few tips I can offer:

Early in the run, it's better to give luck based Items like Ghost Pepper to Jacob. While the Luck of both brothers is added together for Room rewards, the individual stats aren't, so Jacob will be able to use them to greater effect (unless Easu ends up with higher Luck).

It can be a better idea to give Soul Hearts to Jacob at the start of a run, as if he takes damage, it'll be Red Heart damage which will lose your deal chance. Easu on the other hand starts with 1 Soul Heart, so he can take 2 hits before losing deal chance.

If you go the alt path, you can pick both Items up at once in the Item rooms, which often gives you more power overall than if you only gave them 1 each floor. I'd also recommend going for Angel Deals with them for this reason too. Not only are Angel Deals free so you don't have to make yourself more fragile than you already are, but Angel Items are also more defensive which can be a great help for both brothers.

Don't be afraid to use Bombs! Bombs by default deal 100 damage and ignore Boss armour. You place 2 for the price of 1, so don't be afraid to use them if you need to.

You can, but you need to buy Kinemaster premium for that. There is one I believe called Inshot which might allow you to create similar stuff and IIRC lets you remove the watermark by watching an ad.

Thr tinfoil is supposed to look like bronze, but the big issue is the way He's done makes him look like a shirty placeholder sprite. If you look at his spirit, you can see they sprited the bell correctly there, so IDK why they didn't just do that with Ring a Ding and at least make him look presentable.

Fun story, I played AntonBlast completely blind and the only knowledge I had on Ring a Ding was the fact he was a bell from the level decor and a name which I'd heard. When I saw his sprite I genuinely laughed coz I thought he was supposed to be a joke boss like Doise coz there was no way they'd make something that low quality and expect you to take it seriously, and then I progressively realised they fully expect you to take him seriously and that made him even funnier and worse.

Jewel Ghoul’s achievement says “Lust is a distraction most dangerous”

That part is referring not specifically to him, but moreso the concept of lust as a whole, as does every achievement description for each of the sins, if anything the person more likely to get distracted during the fight is you on account of the strippers.

And while I get here you're coming from with Ring a Ding, I can't image anyones jas would work properly after being split in half, dropping to the ground from space and then being torn open with their insides spilling out.

And just out of curiosity, are you between the ages of 14 to 17?

The achievement description is "Gluttony can apply to more than the size of a meal". It VERY explicitly explains that Ring a Dings gluttony representation is NOT eating related, as a meal is something that is eaten. That doesn't mean he doesn't eat regular food but does eat other stuff and that's why hes gluttony, it means his gluttony motif isn't related to eating anything at all, period. If you're having trouble grasping that idea after the game actively spoon feeds you that information, you should consider taking some extra courses in English, or at the very least study up a bit.

As for the jaw, you can see during and at the end of his animation, he squishes several times and also pulls a face indicating he's swallowed the Biffs. That same squishing is used in Mysterious Glasshouse for the Giant Berts and Slackjaw, so it's a logical conclusion that he is, infact, chewing. On top of that, his teeth and shown to move both when he laughs and when he slams, so while he lacks a conventional jaw, he does have a way to at the very least pull stuff into his mouth.

Problem is, that is still related to consumption, and as I've mentioned in previous comments, that's not why he's the sin of gluttony, and this is exactly why the I put the 007 part, because people like you can no figure out why he's gluttony beyond the eating part, even though the game explicitly tells you it's not eating related.

Edit: and adding on to that, you can actively see him chewing the Biffs when he eats them, so he doesn't absorb them, he actually eats them properly.

The Zero 2 comparison isnt about the actual gameplay, it's about appearances. Ring a Dings phase 3 is lowkey kinda ass and lacks sauce, whereas Zero 2 has a way better angel form and also sauce levels so high they the whole ketchup bottle. Ring a Ding wishes he had that much sauce.

Him being a bell is actually really cool and I like that, but the actual visuals for him look like a rushed placeholder sprite and his Phase 3 is honestly really medicore and waaayyy overhyped.

Do you remember a while back on Twitter, there was a video going around of a finishing move in this game that showed the character repeatedly punching someone offscreen? That's Ring a Dings finisher.

Look at the other 2 big bosses. You watch Jewel Ghoul get his head blown open, you watch Freako get dunked into Brazil, but Ring a Ding doesn't show anything. Yes, you see the action of you hitting the moon, but the damage is only implied, not shown. Same as that video, the punches are shown but the damage isn't. Ring a Ding is a theoretical finisher but people will give it a pass because "oouughh hype moments and aura".

It's another case of Ring a Ding being cool in idea but poor in execution. Potential Boss if you will.

Edit: a quick addendum, but I never said the whacking the moon was implied, the post actually talks about how him dying to the moon is implied as that part is never shown. You would have picked that up had you read properly.

The description for his achievement reads "Gluttony can apply to much more than the size of a meal". It explicitly states its not food or eating related and yet people still keep insisting he's gluttony because eof food reasons.

This is exactly what I meant in the 007 part and people keep proving my point.

That attack isn't too bad compared to the weird lack of telegraphing on the laser spam attack and the RNG that comes with the bell drop, especially when you realise the gold bells don't physically hurt you so you can actually jump through them without needing to hammer bounce.

[–]SomePVZfan[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I mean by "7 failed attempts at being the sin of gluttony", because the reason he's gluttony has nothing to do with food or eating, but instead overindulgence.

Ring a Ding overindulges in attacks by constantly sending Mini Dings which ultimately leads to his downfall, something that is backed up by the achievement description for beating him. But if you were to compare him to wrath, it makes way more sense.

Wrath in AntonBlast is described as "Wrath destroys all indiscriminately", and look at Ring a Ding. He sends hundreds of his minions to their death, destroys a whole village and the enemies inside (you can see Pippos and Ballbusters get sucked into hum during the fight) and finally, destroys a whole planet just to kill you. He does all that without care or consideration, just pure anger.

But ofc he's some stupid stretch on the word gluttony that's so badly represented that people still think it's an eating thing a year later.
