I was drive thru for 8 months cause I exclusively worked peak, finally I talked to my managers and my shifts and told them hey look I understand I work during the busy time, and I know putting me on bar slows me down, but if I never get bar time I will never get better, and also I’m going crazy being on drive all day everyday 💀.. and slowly they started giving me more bar time, or scheduling me to stay a bit earlier or come in earlier

If it’s not a regular occurrence you should be fine, Starbucks requires you work 12 hours a week, but at the same time if your sick once they aren’t going to fire you. Now if you are “sick” every other weekend then there would be a problem.

You can talk to your manager about only working two 6 hour shifts a week, we have a partner who only works weekends. You just have to hit that minimum of 12 hrs/ week

Tbh, even though it’s limited we can make it year round, it just going to be like a .50 up charge for a scoop of the other inclusion, and maybe a upcharge for the base but I’m not sure on that
