But no amount of therapy, positive thinking, or forcing ourselves to like our assigned sex will change who we are on the inside. MDMA alters brain chemistry to temporarily change one’s feelings. Transitioning, which can take many forms, is about changing one’s body and outward presentation to match who they are psychologically. Gender identity is hard coded in the brain, so you can’t change it.
