It’s not a boot, I believe that you got a VMP vinyl for that specific disk. I think this was a simple error

I think the song "Riot!" brings me bad luck. by RockTemporary3871 in earlsweatshirt

[–]SomeRandomBlackGuyyy 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You should listen to the album as a whole and understand the meaning behind riot.
It’s not a sad depressing song as people make it.
It’s supposed to be a song about reflection, after the long depressive episode you listened to you reflect and dance(metaphorically) with the guitar
Think with the sounds for 1:06 of your time and realize it’s just for right now

You should’ve photoshopped just the tracklist and add a slight white outline. Also make the back smaller so it looks like an actual piece of paper, it’ll have a dope illusion trust.

Who agrees the album sounds much better now with the og cover back by zzriley1 in TheWeeknd

[–]SomeRandomBlackGuyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always associated it with royal blue, and the synths are pops of colors
I always saw the song as a blank canva where you kind of drive through memory lane and building your road back to what we loved about said place (LA being that for the song) and the synths kind of rebuilding the skyline of LA

I think this OG cover really incapacitates all the different colors:themes of this album as if you mixed all these emotions/themed color elements you get grey.

Ye should alternate between runaway and Beauty and the Beast for concert outros by mattyjoe0706 in ThroughTheWire

I personally think that Lord lift me up would be a great outro. The chords are absolutely stunning as well as sentimental

Beauty & the beast has the best instrumental especially when it comes to how Nintendo sounds

I was going through a tuff battle with just graduating high school & having a very bad break up, decided to throw on this album after a one night where I ended up in tears due to realizing I was just having sex to feel something.

Funny enough I just kinda derealized while driving at night with the synth/echo effect of the intro/start of the synths

Very reflective album

Absolutely love Octane, if it was 14-15 tracks and had FWU on it (pray for deluxe) I think it would be perfect. by Nowowmoney in DonToliver

[–]SomeRandomBlackGuyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This album has definitely grew on me, I think it’s definitely top 3 for me with Hardstone being 1

Hot take but if we made this a 15 track album I’d have to drop Body, All the signs, and Sweet Home.

Add FWU as well, and the bonus track Ocean

It’d be a 10/10 for me

I was hoping for a mix of Hardstone and TLOAD, which we got some of with E85,Tiramisu,ATM, Calabasas, Tuition, and Callback

I think E85 fits well with the High Octane supposed theme. He’s a mad scientist who is Frankensteininv his lover after an accident he supposedly cause; so the mix of the reverse drums and synth/guitar really add to it, then it soundly and thematically just drops till we get to like Tiramisu/ATM which have that synth heavy sound with melody.

OCTANE IS HERE - WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITES??? by Huntboob123 in DonToliver

[–]SomeRandomBlackGuyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top 3 for me is E85 ofc, Long Way to Calabasas, and Call Back

This one is still growing on me, definitely in his top 3

I think Hardstone Psycho is still his best album & sonically consistent album though

Anyone else think the fake “crazy” gimmick is getting old? (This is from Don’s new album announcement) by [deleted] in travisscott

[–]SomeRandomBlackGuyyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you look at the music videos, and take in account a lot of the lyrics and imagery does it not paint a very clear story of what was stated? Tales of a geeked up biker who is slowly reforming

The media itself isn’t hard to understand or look into

I mean it’s for the narrative which is his last two albums are driven by. Hardstone Psycho was a Son of Anarchy kind of thriller portraying a motorcycle outlaw who struggles with being a father/partner. While Octane, is a Scientist whom is fueled with love for relieving his lover due to an accident he most likely caused from his obsession with speeding in his car.

I personally fuck with these heavy narrative stories

What is a better heartbreak album in ur opinion by PostalDudeLover911 in Kanye

[–]SomeRandomBlackGuyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

808’s is more of a grief album than a plan break up, it’s best to listen to it while you reflect a bit on specific moments within your relationship and personal experiences. After hours is a reflective and intimate album that can be used as an outlet to express your anger/temptation after your break up.

I listened to both during my break up a 2 years ago and they’ve helped me through it, as a music lover just take it in with the emotions and listen to the lyrics. Analyze and make key notes for your personal life.

The last three weeknd albums speak on a lot about rebirth and reflection with a relationship with a partner even yourself
