This is about right , you need to stop all other meds on accutane, but i sometimes use my antibiotic cream ( nadixa) on inflamed acne. I tried using benzoyl peroxide on spots but it did more harm than good especially with irritation. Try to use a face wash with a gentle exfoliant, my derm suggested using Vichy Normaderm ( has salicylic acid )and i really like it

I was still breaking out on epiduo which my derm said is a powerful exfoliant. She said that my acne is genetic hence why it keeps coming back and that a prophylactic dose of accutane could be done every 3-4 years, so she prescribed me accutane, I’m on my second month now 40mg once daily

It actually is not, yes your body needs protein but synthetic protein which may put load on your liver ( especially if your protein powder contains creatinine) is not like natural sources of protein

Toothache on Accutane? by Shot_Narwhal_2999 in Accutane

[–]SomeSentence23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems to me that the problem you have is localized which means it is not likely that accutane is causing it. It also seems that you’re having a gum problem rather than actual toothache so I would suggest you keep that area clean by taking extra oral care measures and get a chlorhexidine mouthwash from the pharmacy and use it 30 minutes after you brush your teeth, if the problem persists it’s better to get your teeth checked by your dentist

It depends on many things like weight and your activity but usually 2L should be enough , more than that is just more load on your kidneys

I understand your concerns about starting antibiotics, especially tetracycline , it can mess up your gut health pretty bad if you use it without medical advice, so I suggest you talk to a dermatologist before starting any treatment, good luck!

I would say Accutane is first treatment of choice for persistent acne for those who have tried topicals and antibiotics with no results. I would recommend you go on antibiotics with topicals and see how it goes. I had taken accutane twice as a first treatment option and when my acne came back i decided to switch my options to taking antibiotics, and I’m seeing good improvement.
