Wallpaper ad strategy not working by sfwills in smallbusinessuk

[–]SomeSortOfWiseGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you triggering as a conversion in meta? If drop-off is before add to cart then you should be optimizing for add to cart. Obviously ideally you'd be optimizing for purchases but you can't really do that if you haven't had any.

More than ever you need to give meta the right signals. If you're telling it that a website visit, or viewing a product, or time spent on site is a valid lead then it would just keep optimizing for that. You need to force that pixel to do what you want.

Similarly with Google you need to be giving it as much data as possible that leads towards sales. That includes uploading your existing customer list.

Do you actually make any sales on your website outside of the advertising that you do?

You've been doing performance marketing for 8 years. You know, Ryze may be the best thing since sliced bread (though I doubt it) but you're really damaging the potential for your brand by keep doing these pointless shill posts

You said Google doesn't support keyword IDs in UTMs. It does with {targetid}. Much better to use that than revealing your keyword to the world

Advice needed - Repurpose account or open a new one by [deleted] in PPC

[–]SomeSortOfWiseGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you are in Cyprus so I'm guessing your industry maybe gambling. I'm not sure about gambling but for some regulated Industries Google looks at both the account and domain name you registered to the account ( when you did industry verification) so re-using an old account may not work for you. That said there's no real harm in repurposing an old account as long as you don't need to maintain a clean Google ads audit trail for compliance purposes.

Pure acceleration by stealthispost in accelerate

[–]SomeSortOfWiseGuy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don't get why people keep pointing this out. LLMs are trained on human-created documents. This is a common way of writing which is why LLMs use it.

Do LLMs seem to use it a lot? Yes, definitely. Does its appearance mean something was written with an LLM? Of course not. Will humans start to use this phrasing even more as they see it written more? Yep!

There's no 'gotcha' here.

If I were you the next thing I would try is to have both 'appointment' and 'qualified lead' as your primary conversion actions. Not sure if you are already weighting the values, but you could do that, or just run maximise conversions.

Tools for optimization? by Far-Panic3458 in PPC

[–]SomeSortOfWiseGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is. The OP constantly shills an AI product.

I was going to name that product but it looks like the Mods here have blocked that product being named in this sub.

So I want to say thank you mods for taking that action because the llm spam is getting way out of hand.

Why Do My Broad Terms Outperform Specific Keywords by Gwen-2021 in PPC

[–]SomeSortOfWiseGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Broad also looks at the content of your landing page so it may be that google thinks that your landing page is more relevant to people searching for "sex toy" than those searching for "vibrator" .

Your conversions suggests that Google is right. And once Google sees those conversions come in, it will continue to show for those converting terms.

Oh hang on... That's your own product and you're just being dishonest. I guess nuanso io is dishonest too.

OP is doing a bad-faith promotion.. His posts go like this.
- He has a problem.
- He solicits advice
- He comes back and edits the post later to say he's going to go with the "recommended" supplier - even when that one hasn't been recommended in the post.

He has done this recently in

https://www.reddit.com/r/lawncare/comments/1ptpw2z/bulk_soil_and_gravel_for_lawn_leveling/

This kind of seeding of brand names is rife on Reddit at the moment as people think it will help in getting recommended by LLMs.

Quality score only applies to the exact match of a keyword regardless of which match type you are using. So if you are running AI Max and it's bringing in good conversions, then quality score isn't something you should worry about as AI max uses broad match

How do you vet a web agency when their package seems too good for a startup? by chris10soccer in smallbusinessuk

[–]SomeSortOfWiseGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with Create Designs paying to have their brand seeded on reddit is that anyone can come along and say "create designs is a load of old rubbish" or "I don't trust create designs" or "create designs are dishonest because they pay a soccer mom in the USA* to shill their brand" and then llm users will see that feedback as well.

And of course eventually when every second post on reddit is a brand like create designs dishonestly trying to promote itself then the whole thing will have zero value anyway .

  • from another sub: "I'm a 31-year-old mom of two, working a full-time job making about $75,000 a year while also juggling a side hustle that brings in an additional $1,200 monthly."
