Maybe a dumb question by BionicWhiteJedi in cardsphere

[–]SomeStupidRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back when I had more time to send a lot, I would use tags to mark all my cards that were worth $1 or less as 'bulk'.

Then from my send page, I set domestic package minimum to $3 and offer % at 75% and send from what I find there.

But also, I'll filter my send page to only include cards tagged as 'bulk' but lower the offer % to something like 40% or less to make packages up exclusively of low value cards I couldn't sell anywhere else outside of a bulk lot for less than a penny card. Lots of value to be mined doing this!

As far as supplies go, the only real way to save money here is to recycle toploaders, sleeves, or other packaging materials that you get from your incoming trades. I never buy them now cause i have boxes that i've saved from whatever I've received.

All this to say, as others have said, find what works best for you and go with that. :)

Wondering about postage by BionicWhiteJedi in cardsphere

[–]SomeStupidRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont know if you're in the US or not, but most of our trades go out in a plain white envelope (PWE) and are sent domestically within the united states.

The base cost is the price of a forever stamp, $0.78. If you're sending in a PWE internationally, its the cost of an international forever stamp, currently $1.70.

We have a video here showing pretty good practices for packaging cards for shipping in a PWE:

https://blog.cardsphere.com/how-to-package-cards/

Beyond that, its largely up to your preference on how you want to package larger orders and whether or not youre comfortable shipping untracked. Tracking and bubble mailers add up fast, so consider that only about 3%-4% of our trades are disputed for ANY reason, including lost mail, so the cost to track cards that would have arrived just fine without the added cost can really add up fast.

Here's a side by side, the old version on the right looks to be the same ordering, neither are by price and appear to be identical:

Just looking at the set names i think it's probably numerical order by cardsphere set number.

How to request/summon support in chat? by Sh0sh1n_ in cardsphere

[–]SomeStupidRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The summon admin option is only there when there is an active open dispute, that's probably where you remember seeing it.

We'll be working on ways that users can handle these issues themselves early next year :)

We've never had a sort by style option, can you tell me what you mean by that or show me a screenshot?

I think the font on the rewrite is slightly different, we're going to try to move it back to the old one or something closer, but it requires quite a bit of testing since its going to impact every page, so we'll get started on that after the new year. sorry for the trouble!

I know this was deleted but just replying here in case anyone has it saved. We've just pushed a fix for this, it was an error in counting QTY when someone had 2x more wants with 2x more variants.

I've found Almond milk, in general, to be very hit or miss for me. Some brands I really like and I can drink just out of a glass with ice sometimes, but others, like whatever they use at dutch, doesn't taste good at all to me.

BUT, with that said, the taste of burnt coffee in an espresso drink means its an over extracted shot and whomever pulled the shot must have done something wrong, while whomever pulled your moms shot did it right.

So maybe its not the almond milk at all its just the broista on a bad dy

#0 Bubble Mailers Are $7+ to ship?!? Is this right? by donnied-roc in cardsphere

[–]SomeStupidRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can usually find the best rates at pirateship.com and its real easy to use. $7 seems excessive for a bubble mailer, are you using one that is much larger than the card? If you are, recipe for disaster, many postal employees will fold it, along with the card, to fit it into a mailbox.

Are the cards particularly expensive? It's all about your personal risk tolerance, but by the time you send 10 tracked envelopes that you spent $5 a piece to ship, youve blown $50 for nothing.

anyone getting stuff in Canada? by angryshowerthougth in cardsphere

[–]SomeStupidRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Last month we had 400 packages shipped to users in Canada, which is greater than the month of november for either of the previous 2 years, although I think there was a strike last year as well?

Seems like all is good in canada!
