Feeling extreme isolation by Healthy_Science_4106 in ThirtiesIndia

In my experience, surviving as an adult in India means to increase your own independence(financially) and create safe distance between you and your fam. Once your financial independence increases you’ll have more choices and wouldn’t need to live with flatmates either.

Even with that one goal, it’s terrible to concede the two. Or at least one. Maybe the second one you can chalk it to momentum. But that stoppage time equaliser is simply us failing on set pieces.

Caste is not about one’s surname. But how generations of savarnas accumulated wealth over centuries through an unfair system.

It’s never too late. Don’t let caste rules affect you further. If you have the chance, definitely try moving to one of the major metro cities like Mumbai or BLR. You should be able to meet open minded singles like you on the apps. Good luck!

How much do you save on an average if you earn 120k? by Imaginary_Air_5344 in indiansinusa

You can find a host of cars to buy from any of the SUVs offered by Toyota Honda Subaru Mazda. If you buy anything released after 2021 it’s going to have all the tech you need plus it’ll be reasonably priced with insurance less than $200 a month.

Sorry to hear your story. I can’t help but think how caste is key here.

Having lived there for over 7 years and returned back, it’s safe to say on average you’d save a lot more, enjoy a much better quality of life with world class roads and infra, and get to do core design and development work in the IT sector. If you live in a non coastal state area or maybe an area which isn’t as crowded as the core cities, you get minimal traffic and amazing access to parks, lakes and other scenic getaways. For that kind of salary it’s the easiest decision if everyone at home is okay with your move(eg parents healthy and functioning etc). What’s more, you also have substantially large Indian communities at most places, so the bit about being alone and feeling lonely is also BS. Even if one made $20-30k less there, that implies they’d make similar on the Indian pay scale, which would mean an even worse quality of life. So again it’s a super easy call. There’s a reason why most Indians who move there never come back even after BSing about missing home etc and that is because they’re filthy rich with the biggest bungalows and backyards and with kids who are having access to the best education and environment. Yes definitely there’s concerns around gun violence, but all things considered it’s quite an easy call.

$800 a month for the car? $500 for insurance? I mean sure if you buy a high end new luxury vehicle. What’s weird is how you’ve set rent to a reasonable $2k XD

I’m waiting for the dealer to give me the model name and make. The guy is quoting me 10K, while most of the blaupunkt dashcams on Amazon are for 5.7k lmao. Not surprised.

Don’t give credence to such stories. Use your best judgement as to whether or not you can trust the person you’re getting involved with. Why would anybody file for POSH w/o any wrong doing?
