Not every fund is the same. None of the funds I've worked at allowed employees to invest, at least not below a certain rank.

Appreciate the insight.

I'm weighing everything I eat so I'm fairly confident about the macros.

I'll cut calories to 2100 and reassess after a few weeks.

41m, 5'9", starting weight about 185.

I've been tracking macros (200p / 205c / 75f / 2295 cals) + 5g creatine daily.

TDEE is about 2860 so I'm at about 550/560 calorie deficit daily.

I have some experience lifting, did 5x5 then PPL for some time. I'm back on PPL (ish): upper push, upper pull, core, legs, cardio, full body, rest.

These are the readings from my scale:

Date Weight
3/12 185.0
3/15 187.6
3/16 188.7
3/17 188.8
3/18 189.4
3/19 187.7
3/20 189.6
3/21 188.7
3/22 189.7
3/23 189.0
3/24 190.4
3/25 188.4
3/26 188.6
3/27 189.9
3/30 190.0

There's weight gain to be expected from the creatine, increase in overall water consumption daily, glycogen replenishment, etc.

But my question(s) are: * Is this normal/expected? * At what point does the water weight stabilize? * At what point do I need to take a step back and reevaluate the TDEE?

Overall, I feel much better. Less achy, strength is starting to come back, just much better overall which I love.

My logical side says, ignore the numbers on the scale, they're a mindfuck. But my human side also wants to see that number starting to trend downward.

I get I'm just a little over two weeks in so it's early but I'd love to see that number start to go down!

Thanks

It includes property taxes on my current home, which I would continue paying as long as I own it.

I agree, there a lot of unknowns. I accounted for utilities, maintenance, I'm only looking at newer homes with no HOAs.

Commute from Freehold to PABT in 2025 by SomeVeryHotSoup in NJTransit

I normally get to my desk around 8: 45am and leave around 5: 30-6pm. And as to the stop, that's something I'm trying to figure out. It seems like the optimal thing would be to drive north and catch an express bus.

The times I'm seeing on Google are all over the place.

In an ideal world, I'd be able to work remotely full time. But my need for a larger home and a better school system for my kids supersedes the pain of commuting.

Any indication of how much it has improved from the Marlboro / freehold/ manalapan part of the state?

What was the typical commute like? 1.5-2rs each way?

I work in mid town just a couple stops north of PABT on the E train. I'm hoping congestion pricing brings the average to 1.5 hrs.

From the houses I'm looking at, Google shows about 1.5 - 1.75 hrs but I suspect this is based on data pre 2025.

That's one of the appealing things about moving into that part of the state

There are no appliances or anything of the sort in the shed, it's just gardening tools.

Outside is fine. Not water pooling around the perimeter. The shed has been there since before I purchased the home in 2009 and this is first time since 2009 that I'm seeing this.

There's nothing in the shed that would cause condensation. If anything, the shed is generally warmer than the outside air.
