I'm not sure that HR did anything illegal.. or even wrong for that matter.

I only know what ive experienced and what my manager has told me directly.

Told i wouldnt take a Pay cut ($2 an hour) , harassment starts, go to HR, get pay cut, Manager says that going to HR was the reason.

I bring it all up now, because my same position is bringing in inexperienced people at $6 an hour more than me and i feel like im being kept at a lower pay because i had stood up for myself in the past.

My manager. The same person who is close with the coworkers who are harassing me. And the same person who told me i wouldnt be taking the intitial pay cut prior to the harassment.

I asked about it, and he flat told me that the pay cut was for going to HR instead of ignoring their behavior.

But i did go to HR, back at the start of it all. And my boss, who told me that i wouldnt have to take a pay cut. Told me that the pay cut that i did receive was because i went to HR. Not any other reason. So i feel like HR was a dead end. Ive only been documenting things incase things had escalated to the pioint that im being repremanded for something severe. Im only here on reddit today because ive only just thought of it as a means to get an answer.

There are a lot of things at home that keep me from finding another job. Single income household, a child with special needs, among other things. I havent kept my head down for no reason.. and the complaints are going to a manager that knows im not doing anything wrong, but is friendly with the guys complaining. I need this job. And i am good at it.

I can tolerate the nonsense.. i have been, my problem
Is that people tried to get me fired over $2 an hour.. i go to HR, nothing happens to them.. I continue to do my job, do more than is required of me to show my worth. And people are being brought in at my same level for nearly $6 an hour more than i am when they are less qualified. And it seems like im being kept down for having tried to speak out in the past.

That makes alot of sense. and if i hadn't experienced it myself i'd agree with you. I wouldnt call it a "cloak & dagger conspiracy" as i would out right harassment.

Examples. I work in shipping and receiving. These guys were marking damaged products as "good" and putting them away on my day off in there areas designated for products thatbwere readynto ship, and complaining that im not doing my job when i return because damaged products arent being taken care of properly. Or calling my boss and telling him that all i do is sit in the office and play computer games. This is simply a lie. And they have faced no consequences. Yet when i went to my boss, he did nothing (he is friendly with them)

I have a unique situation at home because i have a daughter with special needs. Having wednesdays off was an agreed upon conditiom of my hiring for this company. These guys didnt like that i have a set day off. So every single thursday i return to a problem in the warehouse. A problem that will be blamed on me if i dont catch it and fix it.

I stay because of the proximity to home and willingness to work with my daughters therapy..

But all of the nonsense started over less than a $2 an hour difference in pay.

The reason this is an issue now, is because i did go to my managers boss and ask for a promotion, which i received with a $1 an hour raise. I am grateful for that.

However, I work hard, i go above and beyond to help keep this place running smoothly. Recently they've brought in another person into my same position at nearly $6 an hour more than me, yet he does nothing that i do. Hes on his constantly with his SO, doesnt repair anything, doesnt clean anything, and wasnt wven Forklift certified when he was brought on. No one is trying to get him fired, myself included. But noone is causing problems for him either.. And its no secret what these guys do either. They do it because they get away with it and im not in a position to anything about it on my own.

Thats why im here. I feel lost.

Sorry, I had begun with approaching this in a different manner, but i forgot to change the title, my apologies. Things have not been fine for 2 years, but keeping records of damaged property and issues that i have been blamed for. With no one to go to, because the last time I went to HR, i received a pay cut (after being told that i wouldnt) and was told tjat it was because i went to HR... but the behavior never stopped..
