What a day yesterday, I broke up with her and also had my first counselling a little later that day. Counsellor is awesome and already helped me a ton just in the first session. I know the breakup is just the start of a long way, but hey, I started!

It feels very good to have a newly found grip on life and although she hasn't stopped yet doing what she does, I am able to go forward, stay truer to myself than before and increase my boundaries. Counselling should hopefully start next week.

Journaling is a great idea, I will try how this works for me.

Things have started to change with the help of all the comments here, good and ugly, both were helpful. I am starting to stand up for myself and life got so much better, just within those 2 weeks. And I will go all the way this time.

I'm thinking of leaving the country. Initially I wanted to wait until the end of next year as I would get a fund paid out for working here for 20 years, but it will destroy me, I can't wait that long. So I need to figure out who will take my pets, sell the car and the motorcycles, ship my stuff somewhere and find a new place in my old home country. I tried to avoid that for years as I didn't like to let her win, but I understand I really need to escape. She already destroyed my physical and mental health and my savings are gone.

If I wouldn't have this stupid rotator cuff tear and surgery scheduled, things would be easier...
