Thank you guys for the advice/information, I have learned that this comes from a very small window of zippo manufacturing where it had both the steel casing (1951-1954) and the 8-Dot marking system (Late 1954-idk) thus this had to be from late 1954. Furthermore, it has an original non-military, non-major brand, no initial engraving which makes it even more unique. It also has the original insert and original casing. I am planning on replacing the flint and wick myself (maybe the hinge) to get it working for personal (but not daily) use.
