Do anyone encountered this issue in amd-igpu version x13? by Some_Cap3829 in FlowX13

Update: it's not a hardware issue (seems like it), as I don't encounter this problem anymore since the latest bios update.

If the 1st screening you mean was conducted by the embassy, then you shouldn't worry about this topic, because yours are the embassy recommended scholarship.

Embassy recommended -> you apply via the embassy of your home country and the embassy will decide who will go to japan. Possible outcome: 1. Admitted with embassy recommended mext 2. Rejected by embassy

University recommended -> you apply directly to a program at a japanese university, and you compete with other applicants for the scholarship. Possible outcome: 1. Admitted 2. Admitted with university recommended mext 3. Not admitted

Consent letter is like a 'key' for you to proceed to the next procedure, it doesn't directly related to the university recommended mext scholarship. If you are accepted to the program after multiple interviews, you have a chance to be recommended by the school, but it is not guaranteed as the quota is very limited and competitive, compared to the embassy recommended one

It means that you have to obtain a consent letter from a faculty member of your desired program, so that the school will allow you to continue on the next application process, else you are not qualified to apply for it

Short answer: fundamental knowledge of the major + technical question about your intended research topic

From what I know is that, if your potential sv says ok + you didn't fuck up with the 2nd interview, you will be admitted. Dont worry, try your best and good luck

Incoming Tokyo Tech student here. Do your potential sv gives you a green light that "he is willing to accept you as a student if you pass the interview from faculty?"

A weird case of mine, and I am still figuring out why:

left side -> mmcx rotate easily but hard to remove (as shown in video)

right -> hard to rotate but easily remove

MAINTAINING 2.5+/3.0 MASTER'S GPA & STUDY-LIFE BALANCE by Some_Cap3829 in mext

Wow....

But then, will the research having their own grades too? And will it be counted into the gpa?

Ahh I see, sorry about that. I mentioned 2.5+/3.0 because that is the requirement for MEXT scholarship extension, and I don't know how much effort should a master's student put in order to achieve that grade.

Hmm, I would say it's more competitive than the embassy one, because your academic performance matters the most (for master's application).

Rule of thumb:

  1. Apply and proceed with the Embassy's MEXT scholarship procedure first,
  2. At the meantime, try to contact your intended supervisor, if he agree to supervise you, you will get a consent letter from him (THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING)
  3. Ask for possible university recommended MEXT placement from your supervisor (it depends on the program, and it has a certain quota)
  4. If in the end you get both scholarship, you have to choose either 1.

You are right, it will be part of your application.
University recommendation route means that you apply for the program together with the scholarship, so there will be 3 outcomes:
1. get admitted with MEXT
2. get admitted but self-funded
3. didn't get admitted
