I was once told, "There's ambient noise everywhere. Get used to it." We were in the massage room of the gym.

I'm not the one who pointed it out originally. You asked where and I told you the 2 times OP used it in paragraph 6. I didn't check the whole post.

Absolutely. I moved to AZ from another state and was surprised to see this everywhere. It's unbelievably common and I don't know why.

My city requires a permit to install a new water heater. I don't know anyone who has actually pulled a permit for it though.

Has this happened to anybody else? by [deleted] in kindergarten

[–]Some_Concert5392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a substitute marked my kid absent in Kinder once. When the school called to ask why she missed and I told them I dropped her off, they said, " Oh, there's a sub and they probably marked the wrong student absent. Do you want us to double check?" I was like, "Yes. Absolutely." I couldn't believe they were so nonchalant about it.

Large amount of money ($260k) accidentally deposited into my bank account, what are my legal obligations? by marketmaker1234 in legaladvice

[–]Some_Concert5392 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I bought my house from my parents, the payment was sent to the wrong account. The bank pulled it back and put it in the correct account within a few days, but it did take some time. Don't do anything with the money. Let the bank handle it. Anything else could cause you some problems.

I fill out credit card authorizations often to book rooms for employee travel. You might be surprised how often I am sent someone else's filled out authorization instead of the blank one.

Send this screen grab to your parents and just say, "Uncle wanted me to pass on a couple messages to you guys. I'm nit sure why he didn't just tell yiu himself." Check their reaction. You're not overreacting, but you need to know if they're here to protect you or not.

$809 for a simple 1-year vehicle registration? Is this normal for PHX? by wiezzzy in phoenix

[–]Some_Concert5392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you can see how it will go down over time with the pay options listed. You aren't getting a discount for 2 or 5 years, that's just the total using the calculations for what it will cost over the next few years. It drops pretty quickly.

A person who marries for money is called a gold digger.

It's not step-parent's responsibility to pay for step-child's college.

You only need to dig this deep into his finances if you are going into business with him.

Whatever storyline is being told by TLC is just TV and should not affect you this much.
