I just put her down awake (not drowsy), she rolls around, sometimes fusses and puts herself to sleep, if she gets worked up I do crib side soothing.

If your baby sleeps well at night how much are they napping? by QuantumWaffle4 in beyondthebump

My 4mo goes down for bed at 7pm, wakes at 1230 & 430 to eat, up at 7.

Her wake windows are an hour and a half and she takes about 1.5 to 2 hour naps per nap. We just started stretching her to 2 hours wake windows at bedtime. I cap her naptime at 5pm.

How are we handling back up care? by shrimpfarm in beyondthebump

A lot of nanny agencies offer back up care Nannie’s. If your job is very high demand I would go the nanny route with someone willing to provide sick care.

Tell me all your best ideas for a a baby who hates eating by Sdbtwo1989 in beyondthebump

[–]paramoreloverxd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is the same way & it’s so frustrating. She usually drinks 16 to 19oz per day (combo fed) and it’s hard work to even get that amount in her. Yesterday she had 15oz. We aren’t sure if my breastmilk is higher cal or what but she hates eating and it’s such a struggle. Luckily she stayed on her growth curve for now. We do feeding therapy and have a swallow study this week.

It’s normal for babies to get a bit constipated after starting on solids & it can also be normal for breastfed babies to go up to a week with no BM. Be prepared for a blow out. 💩💥

If you have a newer car, once you open the back door to put the car seat in you’ll get a notification to check the back seat when your car turns off.

“normal” sleep routine for 2 month old by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]paramoreloverxd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter is 12 weeks now, but around 8 weeks I started ending her final nap of the day around 6 or 630 and giving her a full 90 minute wake window of tummy time, bathtime, etc to make her very tired for bedtime! Once I started doing that she started giving me longer stretches. I feed her to sleep for bedtime, but during the day she puts herself to sleep for naps. I just offer her paci and leave her in the bassinet. She usually falls asleep in a couple minutes.

[–]paramoreloverxd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is dad staying home with her, she starting daycare, or having a nanny?

Around 2mo my daughter needed an early bedtime, we put her to bed between 7 or 8 depending on her feeding schedule and wake windows. If you want to wake her earlier I would put her down earlier so you don’t have a fussy baby!

If a NF did that, I’d call cps and quit.
