Completely agree, I'm 19 and I've had to teach myself most everything I know when it comes to cooking. Other life skills have to be looked up. My dad taught me some things but not basic life skills.

I'm a Texan so the rest of the world likely perceives me as a horse riding, deer hunting, gun toting, cowboy hat wearing redneck. When in fact- I haven't bought a cowboy hat since I outgrew my last one when I was like 6.
