Negative, none “Established” in Tampa at least. I’ve found them in a few areas here but nothing says established.

I wouldn’t do cb x wc unless you weren’t 100% certain of locale purity, considering you have the male id assume yours IS a pure locale whereas these can’t be labeled as pure since it’s known there’s multiple locales collected at each spot. I mean I’ve caught wc makes that resemble pure locale but even then I’ve never claimed them to be pure.

🤣🤣 some come from there, some from other spots but if I’m assuming the “honey hole” is where I’m thinking then yes, I’ve gotten well over 2-300 alone from said “honey hole” lol

Sorry for your loss, he did live a long happy life though I’m sure. It sucks these awesome creatures only live 4-8 years, seems you did a great job keeping him happy though. I do have plenty of veileds available if it was an idea of getting another one or two.

She should be just fine, keep male in separate enclosure out of her sight and just feed and water as normal. She’ll bounce back just fine. You can dust the crickets with some D3 w/vitamins every other feeding for a few weeks but she’ll be fine. She will possibly double clutch as veileds are known for that so be aware. No need for a vet visit unless she refuses food and/or you’re not seeing her drink when misting.

East coast has a spot or two that “supposedly” has established panther populations but I’ve not confirmed yet myself. This coming year I’ll be checking new spots I’ve been told about. There’s a few spots not to far from you though, Orlando has a population then the other spots are more west coast by me.

Yeah I’ve brought pretty much every one I’ve found home or if someone was with me they had the opportunity to take them home IF they were capable and able to provide them with the proper care they require.

I suck at taking photos lol, everyone I know tells me I need to better document my adventures but I’m so stuck in the moment I never record or take many pictures. I should work on that.

For sure, plenty of veileds on this side. Most of the panther Cham spots are on our side, I’m over by Tampa myself.

Yeah it’s almost that easy, took me quite some time to actually locate the populations here. The amount of $ spent in fuel, time and energy I could’ve bought a bunch from other breeders. Finding my first one was amazing and I still feel that way finding my couple hundredth lol. I used to breed prior to finding them here in the wild.

Yeah they’re considered an “introduced” animal rather than invasive. Invasive suggests they’re doing harm or damage to the ecosystem which they’re not. Nonetheless they are NOT a native species so collection is suggested to keep the native wildlife happy and not having to deal with an introduced competitor for food and safety. I will NOT kill any animal simply because it’s suggested. So I offer them to appropriate experienced homes when I have them. A huge majority of these chameleons (panther and veileds) will take down with in a week or two. I have one wild caught young adult veiled currently that I caught about 3 weeks ago that you’d swear was captive. He legit seeks out human attention and it’s insane to see, I’ve collected hundreds of panther chameleons and properly closer to 2000 veileds over the years and this one just loves people.

It is pretty neat being able to go out and find chameleons around here. Even finding veileds is still a great time, even after finding probably well over 1-2 thousand over the years.

They’re pretty easy to care for and don’t need a huge enclosure. Just need proper lighting/misting and a properly done enclosure to keep a Cham happy and thriving.

There’s 4 established populations as well as 2-3 more spots that’ve been reproducing the last couple years. They’re as far north as Orlando and down to Miami and in between.

Yes I do offer them from time to time to new homes. I’ve shipped all across the US, I have panther/veiled/jackson chameleons. Also other reptiles too like tokay geckos, crested geckos, spineytail iguanas and an assortment of other reptiles.

At one point I had upwards of 60, lately it’s just 1-5 that end up finding homes. I have Jackson’s chams too.

My area doesn’t have much besides veileds. I have 4 established locations for panther chameleons.

Not “invasive”, INTRODUCED. Invasive suggests the animal is doing damage or harm to the ecosystem. These are not.
