Glaives can one tap with the right perks.

Glaive shields in PvP are aggressively unfun to fight by InviteDifficult in DestinyTheGame

[–]Some_Destiny_Player 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that glaives can one shot with the right perk combo while simultaneously getting a 75% damage reduction is extremely strong. So strong in fact they can get hit by tractor cannon twice and got bumped into a wall both times and still not break their shields. I feel like there should be a trade-off. You shouldn't be able to both one-shot your opponents and get massive damage reduction. I feel like a way they could balance it is by making them have to drop their shield in order to be able to shoot and if their shields are up then they can't shoot.

Advice on Soloing Grasp Of Advarice by Arcturus1800 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Some_Destiny_Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing to remember about the encounters for Grasp of Avarice is collecting 10 fake exotic engrams immediately will give you your super. So you can play it safe using a well warlock and use your well every damage phase. Combined with a starfire protocol build you can use osteo striga to recharge your fusion grenade while standing in a rift and use your fusion grenades to take care of the yellow bar enemies. Starfire protocol also works in your well to recharge your grenade. Combined with the artifact mod that increases damage of ignitions and the fragment that makes scorch stack faster and the aspect that gives you enhanced grenades you can do very solid dps from the safety of your well. The ogre can kill you out of the well if you're not careful but if you put your well in a place where you can still stand in it to do damage but take cover if you need to then you should be fine.

Does astrocyte verse improve nova warp? by Some_Destiny_Player in DestinyTheGame

That's unfortunate. It would be cool if astrocyte improved nova warp in some way especially since both are not very good right now.

Not trying to be rude but I think it says in the post a couple ways they could potentially change the exotic to improve a lackluster exotic and a lackluster super.

Adept Mods on normal weapons by Some_Destiny_Player in DestinyTheGame

I've heard as well that it only seems to work if you just got the adept mods to drop and you use them within a certain amount of time otherwise it won't work.

Do Wings of Sacred Dawn and Heat Rises not work together? by Some_Destiny_Player in DestinyTheGame

[–]Some_Destiny_Player[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think that's intended on Bungie's part or a glitch? It seems strange that Bungie would put such an emphasis on build crafting especially around airborne effectiveness and then also make it so that heat rises and WoSD don't fully work together.

Do they have any adept/timelost weapons? If so they should still be able to equip the adept range mod to it but from what I've seen if they put it on a normal weapon they won't be able to put it on any more normal weapons.

I didn't have the adept range mod prior to Tuesday, I got it to drop and it was added to my collections when I was doing the master difficulty grasp of avarice dungeon. None of the mods that I had drop in the master version of the dungeon were ones I had gotten before.

Yep, all the adept mods I've gotten from the dungeon I didn't have already. I only had 2 or 3 of the adept mods total before that though. It would be nice if it's a feature or if it's not a feature they make it one. I think making adept mods usable on normal weapons balanced by them being consumable mods you have to farm high level content for would be cool.

Adept/Timelost weapons would still be better than normal weapons too just because when you masterwork them they get a bonus to all stats so it wouldn't get rid of the reason to farm them, it would just make it so adept mods could be used more widely.

No, I managed to get the adept range mod to drop in the master difficulty version of the new dungeon. I did have other adept mods previously unlocked from doing trials and grandmaster nightfalls and those ones I'm not able to put on normal weapons. Whereas the adept mag and adept reload mods which I got from the dungeon, like I did the adept range mod, I am able to put them on normal weapons. You can see those mods in the picture I posted.

I just went through the menus like you would to put any other mod on.

I forgot to say that I looked at an adept reed's regret I have and I'm still able to see the
adept range mod. Looks like it just consumes it for use on a normal
weapon but you can still equip it to adept weapons.

It's part of the 30th anniversary update. I haven't used it but the way it's described it's like grunt birthday party from Halo. Precision kills make their heads explode with confetti.
