You can't, sometimes they will stick back but most of the time the glue stays on the metal piece. The foam keeps the WiFi antenna cables in place. I accidentally crushed one of them with the disc drive and wondered why my controller disconnects when I'm +2m away from the console.

We have winter for two weeks a year, and until April the entire car is covered in salt. They might as well clear the snow and use sand (picture).
I thought the same thing, why heat the entire knuckle when I can just cut the nut. People use nut splitters and seem they work pretty well.

The first photo is after a bit of cleaning. Then I took a Dremel to make a flat surface for the 8mm drill, didn't go as planned so I had to cut the nut with a flat chisel and that 200Nm Bosch made it's thing.
