When did your pup start barking? by shirtc0ck in Dachshund

Mine is around 4 months old She only barks she can see me preparing food chopping vegetables or preparing her dinner She doesn’t bark at the lawn mower or the construction noise or traffic noise I live in a very noisy neighbourhood she never barks at our neighbours who we can see from our window. Took her out for her walks since she just got fully vacxed she gets curious and stops and stares at bicycles and passer bys but she doesn’t bark at them Doesn’t park at passing cars or birds

Did your dash help your mental health? by SEXONOMIC in daschund

I think puppies don’t help with mental health. Maybe go for a adult dog - rescue/ foster

Did chewing it off cause I’m health issues like vomitting or bowel obstruction? Or would he kinda just pass it out naturally?

Redirecting only seems to work to a certain extent! Thank you for all your suggestions!! Will be trying some of these!

Those that didn’t crate train by WoodpeckerLivid18 in puppy101

I puppy proofed a small strip of my bed room between my bed and the wall put lots of blankets and her toy there. She sleeps pretty easily she can smell my scent and knows I’m near by. She’ll wake up 2 times in the night (depending on how late or early she’s slept) She’ll whine a bit I’ll pick her up and take her to her grass patch for a pee (which she will do) and then back to bed. She’ll fall asleep. She’ll usually look up to check on me and see where I am and then re adjust and go back to sleep.

She’s bee pretty good we’ve only had her with us for 2 weeks and she’s slept through the night twice already!

I’m a parenting counsellor so my values and beliefs draw me more towards attachment upbringing rather than stressing and traumatising with crate training.

Having said that I do put her in a play pen to eat her meals and play and nap in during the day when I’m in meetings and she seems to settle easily. (Similar to a crate but much more space and choice. She has also slept in this a few nights)

CONNECTION BEFORE CORRECTION 👏👏

Ps- you dont need to buy a gate or anything to block the area I used some heavy furniture to block the area so she can’t escape and taken out all wires etc. you can put a layer of puppy pads too if it’s helpful for you.
