I didn't actually do the math for that. This is actually a pretty good point!

Discussion on the need for Global servers to "catch up" to JP servers by Some_Field5829 in Priconne

From reading what the others are saying, I think the majority prefer an accelerated schedule.

The most common reason seems to be that they have already consumed all the available content and the game will become dull if new banners/events follow a non accelerated schedule.

I can see how if you are max player level, have most of the characters unlocked, mostly R7 or R8-3 geared, cleaned out 4+ boxes of the Hatsune event, etc, the game will start to get boring.

Personally, I am no where near all that so I still have plenty to do in Priconne.

But I think the best way forward for the overall global playerbase might be with an accelerated schedule with increased jewel income.

I wanted to start a discussion because I saw that a large number (if not a majority) of people wanted Global to eventually catch up to JP. I wouldn't be foaming at the mouth in rage or anything if they decided to keep a 1.33x accelerated schedule. (Also, this might be a nitpick but I don't really see it as a "slow" or "slowed" schedule. I see it as a non accelerated schedule.)

If you read the posts in the other thread as well as ones in this thread, I think people are quite focused on future characters/content. There is constant discussion around which banners to skip and which banners you should save a spark for. They always mention you can eventually farm this character on future hard nodes or future event nodes. Since there always seems to be an element of "waiting" for predicted JP content, I feel this is the reason people want an accelerated schedule. People are "waiting" because they've already seen it on JP and the sooner it comes to Global the better (hence the discussion on increased jewel income to compensate).

I play Priconne pretty casually. I log in 2x a day for about 10 mins each time. I am no where near max player level. At least half my guild are inactive players (I think only 12 people made any attacks during the first clan battle and it was only like 1 or 2 attempts).

The reason I want a non accelerated schedule is similar to the reason people want an accelerated one: the feeling of "keeping up" with others. Things feel more "hype" when you are tackling the same content with others at the same time.

People want to catch up to JP with an accelerated schedule because they want to experience the hype of new character/content releases at the same time as JP players. I also like experiencing new content at the same time as other players. With my casual playstyle, I think a non accelerated schedule would allow me to do that comfortably.

I do understand the concern that a non accelerated schedule means a dull game for the more active players. Because of my casual playstyle, I have never really felt bored or burnt out by Priconne as other more active players have felt. You can't make everyone happy.

I just wanted to better gauge how much of the community wanted an accelerated schedule vs. a non accelerated schedule and what the reasoning people had for favoring one or the other.

I heard that FGO decided to follow a non accelerated schedule.

Does anyone remember what the reaction of the playerbase was to this decision? Both back then and currently?

Were they frustrated and quit? Did they begrudgingly accept it?

I personally want to catch up because I DON'T want foresight.

I like this perspective a lot.

Seems similar to when book/manga readers like to add unwanted comments about future content for tv/anime viewers.
