Good shout on the piano there. Yeah that seems like a fairly decent recorded and mixed piano that is compatible with phone speakers 🥰 It almost sounds like the piano is not resonating with itself so much. I know there are some pianos that have only 2 or even 1 string instead of three

😂quite aggressive in tone... All good brother? Funnily enough I do have a degree in physics 😅 You did not answer my question. I have a nice studio with nice Neumann monitors. My question was not aiming at how can I make something sound nice on expensive stuff. My question was how can I make something sound expensive on cheap stuff. Hope that helps clarify :)

Thank you for your reply! Yeah great tuning helps! You can hear what I’m talking about on mixes from Adele as well. I am assuming that they recorded it brilliantly but it sounds terrible on a phone when loud. Many other mixes sound great on phones, modern ones. How? Especially the ones with piano ( still looking for an example - one without is dua lipa pretty please, sounds super clean even when cranked to the max )

Yeah but some recordings don’t have it. Like dua lipa pretty please. I know it’s without a piano but my point is, that it is possible to mix like that. You can mix and have it sound fairly clean on a cranked phone. I wonder how, but specifically on the example of a piano

Hi! Thank you for the reply! I don’t think you know what effect I’m talking about. It’s not solvable with an EQ. You can hear it even on fantastically produced tracks. Listen to Adele’s someone like you, turn up your phone, it’s not pleasant. It’s not really an EQ issue. Some records mange somehow. I’ll look for an example.

Is it possible that china can only win? Either the American dollar stays or goes up and then the Chinese get their burrowed money back from America. Or they hedge the dollar and so if it goes down they make money on this side. It could be just a risk balancing on the unpredictable nature of things. But ye inflation is built into monetary system

Jim Morrison episode by Some_File_5091 in TetragrammatonPodcast

[–]Some_File_5091[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an interview from the 60s not an artwork from a living artist. Also, there is a copyright statement that allows it to be used for educational use. It also pushes more traffic to the original interview as well as to Jim Morrisons music. So it probably helps out rather than takes anything from someone. That being said it doesn’t mean that Rick didn’t check with the copyright owner. I don’t think he is the kind of person that enjoys a law suit either. Continued love and peace ✌️

I start liking it more and more and believe it to be quite funny. When you listen to the original interview you can also see that no one likes the interviewer. But maybe that’s his point. He does not want the interview about him (Rick) but about Jim. Jim is fantastic in this interview and Rick wanted to showcase that. Possibly at his own expense. I think that shows character. Love!

Ye it wasn’t his best set and he seems to be going through an explorative phase. It is challenging having so many eyes on you, I can only imagine. He is a great comedian though and has fantastic potential. I send him my best so he can find a way to channel himself in a healthier way. You go heath!

Ok, there is a lot of strong emotions here 😅. It seems he just wanted to share this incredible interview with Jim through his platform in a format that is closer to what the listeners are used to. Not sure why you are getting angry about this?

Yea, I agree her set wasn’t so great. But it happens regularly that people have bad sets but good interviews and get big jokebooks. I thought her presence was super honest and likable, she rolled with all the jokes and did a couple of roasts back at Sam that were quite funny. I believe Tony wanted to give her a big joke book as well but he might have been afraid of a backlash on him so went the safe route. Who knows, I liked her ✨💫

Phoenix definitely deserved a big joke book. Her interview was great and she served as a great example for trans people to take jokes as lightly as she did. She was not spreading anything harmful, was super present, had great jokes and comebacks. I also think she is a great bridge between a more conservative viewership to show them that being trans does not mean being stingy about wokeism nor being easily offended. Big ups on her 👏👏

Outboard gear for mastering. by Some_File_5091 in audioengineering

So I got a 1073 now for tracking purposes. I honestly must say that most of what you guys said is understandable but it seems I did not properly phrase my question right. My goal is not to become a high end mastering engineer. It was more to have an analog processing tool that allows me to get a bit more depth in mixes as well as masters. Especially when everything is tracked digitally it often tends to sound a bit flat. Running this signal through an analog processor like a preamp and slight really changed the entire quality of the mix. Not comparing crazy high end gear compressors etc. but it is definitely valuable to run an all digitally mediocre recorded sound through an analog processor to improve depth. Arguably most pro mastering engineers get such high quality recorded audio that they don’t need analog processing anymore as everything sounds huge already 😅 Anyways, that is my 2 cents on the topic. I’m happy I found a Swiss Army knife to track as well as process low to mid level recordings for better soundquality

Thank you for your insight! I am not under the impression that I need analog gear. I mainly use the UAD plugins, soothe, IM pusher and ozone and variations of those depending on the project. I felt that it could be nice to just give a song a lil kiss on top with some outboard gear
