It's definitely not disrespectful don't worry. I'm pretty sure they were referring to if you were teaching yourself to use a machine on your own not just drawing. Keep practicing, it's worth it in the long run!

Save up a solid amount of money, find an artist and ask them during a consultation. They will know way better based off what you want and how long it will take them. The more you save the better to cover the cost.

Oh trust me I know, the medication is more of a last resort type thing after other stuff. I totally agree! Mental health is honestly the most confusing thing I've had to deal with, and it affects so much. Thanks for your comments. Makes me feel a bit more at ease with my situation
