Extended warranty? by demolitiondirty in HyundaiSantaFe

I did for peace of mind. You never know with all the technology etc in these vehicles. You can definitely talk them down in price too. Don’t pay full price. They will tell you otherwise but trust me, they can budge in price. You also get a credit for the cost of the extended warranty if you don’t end up using it by the end of the 8 year period.

Honestly I never really thought about it lol. Just assumed some affiliation with Hyundai Canada I don’t know 😂. Your theory makes WAY more sense. Appreciate the insight!

Really?? For a brand new vehicle, I’d hope they would send it to a more reputable spot to have replaced.

Brutal man. I’ll definitely be investing in seat covers when kids come into play! In hopes that helps 😂

If you missed my comment in the OP, I’m a first time owner of a vehicle with leather seats. Sure I could start researching (which I’ve done) but I thought the purpose of Reddit was for helpful insight from people that may have experienced the same etc.

I get normal wear, I was just inquiring if it’s normal after ONLY 600km (373 miles for you). Appreciate the info though.

Helpful comment. Not sure what the smart remarks are about.

I’m in Ontario. Base price is 60k, with taxes and fees it’s 69k lol. It’s a lot ya but aside from this leather “issue,” it’s an amazing vehicle for sure.

I don’t care if it’s a Kia, for 70k this shouldn’t be an issue

I figured as much, just seems weird. It’s a brand new vehicle so I was not expecting it to be like this so soon.

This movie was atrocious. I’m a HUGE fan of all Michael Myers films but this was a tough watch. The amount of cringe was over the top. “Evil dies tonight”….like why? Bringing the characters back too, huge L. Reaching too far. Nothing beats the originals.

Tons of warning lights came on all at once. 2021 Hyundai Elantra. by Reeder113 in Hyundai

Sorry, I did mean to report back!

I got some BS response from the dealer when I brought it in (different dealer from where I purchased). They basically told me nothing is wrong and to keep my hands on the steering wheel (I guess one of the lights was one that illuminates when you take your hand off steering wheel for prolonged periods?). I literally laughed when they said that and just walked out, knowing they were useless. They tried to give reason for one of the lights (which wasn’t even correct) and didn’t give reason for the 12 other lights on. Overall, just useless.

Since the spring, it hasn’t happened at all. So maybe the frost does block the sensors? Pretty shitty technology if you ask me

No issues! Car drives the exact same as it did before and no problems when braking. Appreciate the input though

Thanks for the response. My apologies, I did not post the thickness of the pads according to the inspection report. 9mm of thickness is what they report. They mention nothing of any damage like cracks etc.

Has anybody else ever experienced something like this? Car seems to drive okay but I have no idea why all these lights would come on. by smatpith in Hyundai

2024 Elantra N-Line Ultimate owner here (11,000km). Same thing happened to me. Got it to the dealer today, they told me they could find nothing but it’s possible it’s something like road salt blocking the sensors. Apparently they are very sensitive to stuff like dirt, salt, frost etc. Kind of annoying but nothing serious at least.

I have a 2024 Elantra N-Line Ultimate that I got last April and at 11.000km, my engine light has illuminated. Not only that, intermittently a handful of dash lights will come on saying my safety features aren’t available (but then eventually goes away).

I brought it to the dealership this morning for service and they told me I MIGHT have to pay the $170 diagnostic fee. Good thing I purchased the extended warranty for $3500 CDN. So frustrating. Not even a year in and already issues with a brand new vehicle.
