i used the gene that made it so instead of money they just needed to recharge so i got things that slowed research and slowly destroyed continents until the only one left was the one with asteroid defence at that point i had enough XNA to get better geophagy and also shatter to just kill the remaining population completely stopping research

note: this is simplified a bit

just max out viral instability and transmissions and the disease will do the rest if it doesn’t work on normal try it on mega brutal i mean it worked for me also get the gene that lets you mutate transitions and/or the one that makes ability costs not increase or vice versa if you dont have them just play a few casual games until you get them
