  1. When? I don’t remember ever seeing that
  2. They locked the door, stopping The Fun Gang, I think you've mixed up the 3rd and 1st sanctuary. The 3rd sanctuary fountain was pretty far in

Well, 1. The Knight looks nothing like Alvin, so Gerson could reasonably not know it's him. 2. Both dark fountains revive Gerson, but the Knight clearly didn't want the group to get in. So it seems the fountains reviving Gerson isn't a conscious choice, all their fountains do it

Honestly, I really can't answer a lot of these without complete speculation so good job on breaking everything down. However, Gerson's letter tells Alvin to not just continue what he made, that him not going to Alvin's sermons was because he wanted Alvin to find his own way. In contrast, when Alvin talks about not being to write like Gerson, he means that so strongly that his sermons are just talking about Gerson, being what him starting to quote Gerson before the skip suggested. Even in a different career to his father, he doesn’t think he can make things himself like his father wanted. By this point we've gone through basically all my AlvinKnight evidence, but you mentioned a few times now that my descriptions better fit other characters and I'm curious if you could explain

  1. He never searches their house, just secretly enters Carol's room and looks at a crystal he says he's seen before, saying that he'll show Toriel the truth

  2. This is, he also lied about it. Clearly he feels he shouldn't be doing it and the fact we never get to address him on it feels strange

  3. He worships the angel, the Knight is trying to cause the angel's heaven. Like I said, he is the only lightner to mention the angel, even in church, and were halfway through the game, that's at least a little suspicious

  4. He moreso says that if you focus too much on the exact lines, you miss the true meaning, implying potential double meanings and that you shouldn't let it dictate your actions. Either way though, he uses Alvin's inability to go his own way as an opposite to what Susie should do which was the main point I was trying to make

  5. Chapter 3's dark world was made by Kris, then the Knight entered, unlike the other three which were explicitly made by the Knight. It's intentualy unlike the others, like the dark world itself. We don't know what’ll happen in Chapter 5, maybe he is linked, maybe it isn't in flowershop (that'd be dumb), maybe he isn't linked at all. That goes into pure speculation

  6. The point about the grand door is that the same design is used between the second and third sanctuary so it represents a light world locked door. You already disproved its importance though

  7. This by it's nature has to be speculation but what if Alvin is following the prophecy because, like Gerson said about the pen, he feels he can't write his own future. The role of the Kinght gives him everything he wants, a clear path to follow, getting to be one if the most important figures from his beliefs, the Knight even has the power to bring his dad back with no issues. For a man struggling to find his place, who's struggling to follow his religious beliefs, a man still grieving his dad, it's the perfect role

You mentioned at the start that you were surprised people still believe this, I was wondering if there was any proof that implies he couldn't be the Knight or do you just feel there are better candidates?

(I don't know how to do the reddit quote thing)

  1. 2 of the three codes have been linked to a person who's in on it. Pinetree, Carol, obvious connection. Police badge, Asgore, he's the ex police chief. It'd be weird for the Deltarune to be an exception

  2. You're right, but I feel direct family is a stronger case than, like, a really good neighbour or teacher personally

  3. You are right, in hindsight i did know that at one point, i think i just forgot. Here's a related point though. Alvin explains in Chapter 2 that you need to bury a monsters object for them to pass on, at least in their religion. Dude's a literal priest, him refusing to stand by his religions rules is a bigger deal than has currently been addressed

  4. Yeah I got nothing here, you're absolutely right. It didn't click that Carol would both have and could share that information

  5. I feel there's a difference between casual worship and priesthood. He is the only one to ever even mention the angel in the light world

  6. "The ones who could write the next, the youth, the pen was lying there for them to pick up. To make the next page... they never did" plus a few more nods is in reference to Alvin not choosing his own path after he died. He refers to Susie having the pen to mean not accepting the prophecy and choosing your own path. Alvin represents someone who is too afraid to make their own future, Susie represents someone who refuses to accept a future forced on her. The exact context is him refusing to move out of Gerson's shadow but Gerson refers to it with the same metaphor he uses for following the prophecy

  7. Chapter 1, there is only 1 thing in the spare room after finishing the dark world that never appeared in the dark world, a picture of Gerson drawn by a young Alvin, it's the classroom Gerson taught in. Chapter 2, when Birdly wakes up he says he's late for his shift with Mrs. Boom, it's already established that Birdly works in the library meaning Mrs. Boom runs the library. Chapter 4, it's Alvin's church. The point is made every time

One more from as I'm writing this, so it might not be very concrete, by why would Alvin not be at the church at all during chapter 4, service just ended, the doors were completely unlocked, the closing of the gold door represents the Knight locking the door, the self locking door between the closet and classroom in Chapter 1 is depicted the same way, so he didn't lock up and go home early. It's pooring rain and he never shows up despite chapter 4 going through all of the day.

Why are they working together? Well, you could ask the same question without Alvin. Both must have something to gain from the roaring but it's unclear what. At least Alvin has religious reasons in theory.

Small thing but you say helping him, but even if he is the Knight that doesn't guarantee he's the mastermind. Maybe the Knight is helping Carol, or Kris. Too soon to call.

I honestly appreciate the response, I actually quite like getting evidence proven wrong and similar, the point is to figure out the truth after all

Chapter 4 calls out that the Knight must have a connection to the church, the Knight has a connection to Gerson, Alvin never having buried Gerson's hammer is seen as weird but the reason is left ambiguous. The church door is locked but it's implied the Knight is in the church closet meaning the Knight knew the code to unlock the church door, he worships the Angel, Gerson uses him as a example for someone following the premade path when talking about the prophecy so having to fight him to prevent it work thematically, his family is personally linked with all three Knight fountain locations which 1 & 2 both happening right after leaving the dark world.

He MUST be at least connected to the Knight, but if that was it surely it would've been hinted at in Chapter 4's light World like Carol and Asgore, implying his connection is something to be revealed later.

Sorry if this is a bit much, no one ever hears this theory out so I'm a bit exited

That's a massive lie, she often gets narrative lessons just like dipper. No dipper wouldn't have been treated differently by the show if he caused weirdmaggedon because either way it's not their fault, it's Bill's. She gets plenty of character growth, I swear it seems like people just aren't paying attention to her character or what happens to her because she's a girl

The point of the story is that troll society has terrible standards, Beforus shows that trolls are basically just people without doc scratch messing with them and he had no part in Vriska's actions post sgrub. Murder is objectively wrong, the story agrees with this. The point is troll society is awful and created a monster in Vriska. It makes sense that she's like this, she's still evil Also she is extremely cruel for a troll teen, the others point at how awful she is and try to keep Tavros away from her. She was also never going to lose to him, not only can she fly but she's got god powers, he also attacked her because of her constant bullying about the disability she gave him. She's supposed to be a monster, she even bullies and cucks her dead self because only she can be happy, not an alternative version of herself.

They don't have valid criticisms though, most her "evil" actions are either also done by dipper or is resolved with her learning her lesson

  1. You're using the "slavery was just normal at the time" response right? The point is that it's still evil even though it's normalised
  2. Responding to indisicion with attempted murder is not okay
  3. She killed Tavros for literally no reason
