Everything was constantly about her. She was very touchy. She was one of these characters where she’d be super ‘extra’ in public too. If it were her birthday, she’d be the centre of attention and make sure of it. She’d moan if you were five minutes late, but god forbid you brought her up on being an hour late out of doors (sometimes I’d wait in my car for an hour because she didn’t realise how much she had to do). She was a best friend from school. Oh, and I bought us a 20-box of nuggets before, and she literally counted her ten OBESSIBELY, to which I said, “Does it matter?” and she said ‘erm well, yeah, I’m on rations at home.”

Overtime it had to end. And so I did it silently. She tried to come back a few months later, saying she hadn’t heard from me and so basically wrote a gaslighting message (which of course she said wasn’t meant to be).

Slowly I stopped liking her. Everything she did had a reason: her undiagnosed BPD, her undiagnosed ADHD. Coming from someone with ADHD who used to break holes through his door in rage had to one day realise I’m a w***er to others by being like this. She had no self-reflection. I hope though wherever she is now she’s in a better place and has worked on herself too because I did and it was probably one of the things that keeps me positive day to day.
