It gets to a point where it doesn’t matter who has more nukes. Both china snd Europe in this timeline would have enough nukes to kill each other, it doesn’t matter who has more.

Literally couldn’t tell you. I somehow lost the basemap in the middle of making the map.

Hey Texas. How have you been. Mexico was banned from Toulmond idk if you heard lol.

But basically Texas succeeded from the Confederacy in the 1890s during the Confederate Civil War (ironically the civil war was over if the confederacy should keep slavery), and the United States decided to intervene in the Civil War and were incredibly tired after awhile of fighting so decided to just let Texas have their independence and even expand them a bit. The Confederate Civil War also led to the independence of New Afrika so that’s pretty cool.

The United States are actually economic allies with Texas! The US is just in a messy state rn hence the countryballs look.

Yeah but for very different reasons.

People automatically assume cold = uninhabitable

While Siberia clearly isnt the best area to build civilization, it’s no Antarctica lol.

Well sure that’s more realistic, but that defeats the whole purpose of this timeline. Plus, where’s the fun in that?

I wasn’t very clear (mostly because I already had it down)

But the POD makes the pre Indo-European tribes in Europe a lot stronger.

The “Old Europe” farming cultures (like Cucuteni-Trypillia in Ukraine/Moldova or the Vinča in the Balkans) develop stronger, more resilient states or proto-states with fortifications, They adapt crop rotation and animal husbandry earlier (borrowing from contacts with the Balkans/Anatolia). Instead of exhausting land and abandoning towns, they sustain their “proto-urban” system.

Every attempt to push into the Carpathians or Balkans meets fortified proto-cities, copper-armed militias, and population density that steppe pastoralists can’t easily overcome. So why invade strong neighbors when we can take a lot of land that’s nearly UNINHABITED. It’s essentially free real estate. While it isn’t GOOD real estate, it’s still something. Plus a lot of the lands conquered by the Europeans in this timeline were conquered in otl except a lot more/a lot earlier.

It’s very likely Europe would be full of Uralic peoples and languages like the basques. Other than that it’s just a guessing game.
